Arapahoe Crime Stoppers has been initiated and you will see anonymous information boxes located around the building. They provide opportunity to provide ANONYMOUS information about any illegal or detrimental activity in the Arapahoe community. The boxes are in the attendance office, DECA store, counseling office, and the Library. See a campus supervisor or your favorite Administrator for more information. Thanks.

Feeling artsy? We need creative and talented artists to help design the artwork for the 2009 Prom tickets. Think Venetian Affair! That means Italian and elegant. All submissions are due to Mrs. Crookham or Mrs. Kruck in the Math Office by Friday, February 13th. The design must be in black ink and the winner will receive either a Prom ticket or $30! The artwork will be featured on the Prom tickets and programs. All students are welcome to enter. Good luck and get drawing!

Seniors: Need money for college? Scholarship applications are arriving daily, so NOW is the time to apply for them. Stop by the Post Grad Center if you need help finding scholarships.

Attention all girls interested in playing tennis this spring: If you did not attend the meeting on Tuesday you must see Coach Brayton in the science office immediately to get information that is required before trying out.

A representative from ACTS will be hosting an informational session regarding the many programs offered today in the Forum during lunch periods. Please attend to learn more about these amazing programs and how to apply for next school year. Please see Mrs. Boyce in the Guidance Office for more details.

At the Littleton High School Championship Diving meet last night Dani Howe took 1st place scoring a 394 for Arapahoe High School with Heritage HS coming in second and Littleton HS in 3rd. We hope you will all come join us for the Centennial A-League Swimming and Diving Meet on Feb. 7th.

Hey all you Lady Warriors! It’s YOUR turn! The annual “girls ask guys” Winter Formal, the 2009 Arapahoe High School Snow Ball will be held tomorrow from 7 – 10 p.m. in the AHS cafeteria. Dress is Semi Formal, and jeans or shorts are not allowed. The cost is $10/person and the price goes up to $15/person at the door, so buy your tickets today in the cafeteria during both lunches.

This is only the 2nd time that Arapahoe has ever gotten a sophomore into the All State Jazz Band. Andrew is also the only bass player ever selected to the All State Jazz Band from Arapahoe. Way to go Andrew!!!

To recognize the inauguration of our 44th President on Tuesday, January 20th, we encourage everyone to wear red, white, and blue on that day.

Audition sign-ups for the Spring Musical “Damn Yankees” are on the call board in the theater and in the choir room. Auditions are the week for Feb. 9th. Music is available through Ms. Parmenter. See the call board or Mr. Earley if you have questions.

Although the holidays are over, the gift of giving is always going on! The Freshman class invites you to join us in this gift of giving by donating:
Canned food, used books, blankets, clothing for children and adults. We are helping families that are now in a shelter and need our assistance. Bring these items to Mrs. Hitchens in the Art Department. If you need additional information, check with Mrs. Lhotta in the Math Dept. or Mrs. Hitchens in the Art Dept. or any of the Freshman class officers. Let’s keep the spirit of Arapahoe alive with our gift of caring and giving!

To recognize the inauguration of our 44th President on Tuesday, January 20th, we encourage everyone to wear red, white, and blue on that day.

Congratulations to our talented mathematicians! Arapahoe is now is third place (one point behind 2nd place) in the Colorado Math League. Please recognize students who earned a perfect score on the December CML: Ryan Beckett, Jasmine Griffin, Brian Guymon, Grayson Niemeyer and Jordan Sibold. The next CML is on Tuesday, January 13th . Go Arapahoe!

Hey FBLA Members! It’s Testing Time! See Mrs. Swank in the Business Office to get study materials and to set up a time to take your test! Testing lasts from Thursday the 8th till Thursday the 15th. You can take the test after school or during Swank’s off hours. The tests are about an hour long so plan accordingly. See you then!

You, that’s right, you, get a second chance, a reprieve, a clemency and an opportunity!! For what? The Muse is still accepting late submissions this week only, for its 2009 Volume 7 edition. Get your poems and stories spiffed up and submit them for publication! Being published is a great thing to put on your resume as you head for college! So get on it, guys! Directions for submitting are on the home page, under Activities, and the Muse. Submit by this Friday and make your voice heard!

Hey FBLA Members! It’s Testing Time! See Mrs. Swank in the Business Office to get study materials and to set up a time to take your test! Testing lasts from Thursday the 8th till Thursday the 15th. You can take the test after school or during Swank’s off hours. The tests are about an hour long so plan accordingly. See you then!

Juniors and Seniors: We have a college visit scheduled today for Denison University during both lunches in the cafeteria.
