Join us for a bouncing-good time at Jumpstreet, an indoor trampoline park. We’ll meet in the cafeteria at 2:30 next Tuesday. Cost is $14 for your bus trip and two hours of jumping. Please pick up your paperwork in the English office. See a LINK leader or sponsor this week to reserve your space!

Hey Warriors! Are you feeling social? Do you like ice cream? Then plan on joining FCCLA for their ice cream social on Wednesday October 7th after school in room E2. CDOT reported that 43 people aged 16-20 died in Colorado car crashed during 2007, a steep drop from previous years. By buckling up every time, we can continue to reduce this number. Student Council and the Remember Campaign ask you to buckle up and take care of one another.

Congratulations to the Freshmen Football team for their impressive 35-6 victory yesterday over ThunderRidge. It was another total team effort. The victory pushes the Freshmen record to 4-0 and sets them up for a great contest next Saturday against Cherry Creek here at AHS @ 9:00 AM. Plan to come out and support your undefeated Freshman Warriors.

Congrats to the Boys’ JV Soccer team as they defeated Eaglecrest 3 – 1 yesterday.

Congratulations to the Boys’ Varsity Soccer team who defeated Eaglecrest 1 – 0 in their league opener.

Congrats to Varsity, Sophomore, and Freshman Volleyball for their wins last night against Overland. They face Grandview and Eaglecrest next week. Good luck!

Attention all Junior and Senior Athletes: There will be a lunch meeting during either 1st or 2nd lunch today in the forum for those athletes who are considering playing inter-collegiate sports. We will discuss recruiting, the NCAA Clearinghouse and much more as you prepare academically and athletically for the college level of your sport. Bring a pen and paper and we will provide handouts as well.

Bonjour! French Club will be meeting today at 2:20 p.m. in room C-20! Please come to help us set up activities for the year. Merci.

FBLA-it’s time for the annual scavenger hunt today after school. You will learn things about the school that you never knew. Prizes will be handed out to the winning team! Plus you will have bragging rights of winning. It starts promptly at 2:30pm in room S1. See you there!

Our boys and girls cross country teams competed at Heritage's Liberty Bell Invite last Friday. The AHS Boys’ 5K school record, set in 1991, was broken by two runners. Junior Connor Winter ran a 15:21 and senior Jason Kearns ran a 15:38. Freshman Gerry Goldy broke the school's freshman record with a time of 16:56. The JV girls came in first place. This Thursday we will be in Colorado Springs to compete at the Coronado Invite.

Congratulations to the Freshmen Football team for their convincing 37-7 victory over Overland high school on Saturday here at AHS. The win pushes the Freshmen to an undefeated 3-0 mark. The victory was once again a total team effort. Thanks to all of our fans that came out and gave their support to the team. Our next is this Thursday afternoon at ThunderRidge High school @ 4:00. We could really use your support at that game, see you there!

The Boys’ Varsity Tennis team brought home some sweet hardware which is on display in the main office. The Warriors took 1st Place at the Smoky Hill Invite this weekend. Cole Conley took 2nd place, Ky Kocur took 3rd place and the doubles teams of Matt and Paul Friedrich, Van Becker and Jeff Craig, Mike Schmidt and Luke Zafferani, Tyler Gahm and Mitch Lueders all took 1st Place! Congratulations guys. This is a reminder that the JV1 team and all the varsity alternates have a match today after school against Kent Denver. Also, the varsity team will be practicing at Powell today beginning at 3:15.

Congrats to the Varsity Volleyball team for their successful showing in this weekend's Eaglecrest Invitational Tournament. The Warriors won the silver division and went 4-1 for the day. They improve to 7-2 overall and take on Smoky Hill at home tomorrow night. We're excited to be back in our gym and look forward to our awesome crowd! The game starts at 6:15!

Congratulations to the Varsity and JV Golfers who finished in first place at the Centennial League tournament at South Suburban. The Varsity was led by Brian Zenk’s 72, Adam Johnson’s 72 and Joe Smith’s 73. The JV team was led by Kyle Zedaker’s 80. The Varsity finished the Centennial League season in 2nd place overall and the JV in 1st place.

Congrats to varsity volleyball for the win against Rock Canyon last night. The Warriors improved to 3-1 and play next at the Eaglecrest Tournament on Saturday. Special thanks to Parker, Bobby, Jenna, Jake, and Kristina for being such great fans!

Congrats to the volleyball program for their sweep of Arvada West last night. Freshman, Sophomore, JV, and Varsity were all victorious. Volleyball takes on Rock Canyon tonight at Rock Canyon. Come and cheer them on!

The Herff Jones Company will be taking class ring orders tomorrow during lunches in the cafeteria. You can pick up an order packet in the Main Office or the Guidance Office.

The final results for the homecoming challenges are: The junior class came in 1st place for the class float on Saturday. The overall winners were: seniors 33 points, sophomores 29 points, freshmen 22 points and juniors 20 points. Congratulations to all!

Congratulations to the Boys’ Varsity Soccer team for winning the Warrior Invitational Tournament with a 2-0 victory against Mullen on Saturday. Goals by Adam Tormhoehlen and AJ Krumholz with an assist from Jack Layman. A huge congrats to the ABK defensive team who allowed only 1 goal over the 3- game tournament. Come out and support ABK against Pine Creek @ 4pm this Tuesday!


The Boys’ Varsity Tennis team defeated Kent Denver’s varsity 2 team on Friday by a score of 7-0. Congratulations guys! Come out to the Arapahoe tennis courts tomorrow to watch the Warriors in their first home match of the season. Also, this is a reminder to all tennis players that team pictures will be taken today at the AHS courts at 3 pm. Both varsity and JV teams will practice together after the pictures.

Congratulations to the Girls’ Sophomore Volleyball team for finishing second in the Heritage tournament this weekend. Danielle Shewmake was named to the all-tournament team for her outstanding play. Great job ladies.

Congratulations to the Arapahoe Cross Country teams that participated in the Cherry Creek Invite on Friday. Out of 21 teams, our boys got 2nd and the girls 8th. Our JV girls got first. Congratulations to Ashley Limes who got 9th in the Varsity girls race. Jason Kearns got 4th and Connor Winter got 5th in the boys race. We are at Heritage's Liberty Bell Invite this Friday.

Tomorrow is also the dance! For only ten dollars, you can get your groove on. Student council is selling tickets in the cafeteria during both lunches today. You can also buy your tickets for fifteen dollars at the door.

The Boys’ Varsity Tennis team defeated Smoky Hill yesterday by a score of 5-2. Congratulations guys. Come out to Kent Denver today to watch your varsity tennis team play in our 4th match of the season.

Congratulations to the JV Boys’ Tennis team who defeated Smoky Hill yesterday 13-2. Go, Warriors!

Congratulations to both the Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country teams for outstanding performances at our own Arapahoe Warrior Invite. The Boys’ Varsity score 2nd overall, while the Girls’ Varsity got 3rd. Connor Winter got 2nd and Jason Kearns got 5th in the varsity race. Gerry Goldy won the Boys’ Freshman/Sophomore race while Colleen Koening got 2nd in the Girls’ race. And a special thanks to all the faculty that helped out as well as the many AHS students that came to support our runners.

Congratulations to the Freshmen football team for their exciting victory Saturday 28-17 over Eaglecrest. It was a total TEAM victory. Congratulations to the Varsity and Junior Varsity golfers who both finished in 1st place at the Centennial League tournament at Saddlerock Golf Course on Tuesday. The Varsity was led by seniors Brian Zenk and Joe Smith, each with a 76. The JV was led by Taylor Motsinger with 82. In the overall standings the Varsity is in 2nd place in the Centennial League and the JV is in first place.

The varsity volleyball team kicked off it's season last night with a huge win in three games over Mountain Vista. Thanks to everyone who came out to support the team! Their next game is next week Thursday against #1 ranked Chaparral for homecoming. Come and cheer them on to victory!

Hey Arapahoe! We want to give more of you an opportunity to audition for the Fall Talent Show so we are giving you some more time to put those fantastic acts together. Auditions will now be Monday, September 14th and Tuesday, September 15th! Sign up in the main office and show us your talent.

Students: Class ring orders will be taken Wednesday, September 2 and Thursday, September 3 in the cafeteria, from 10:30-12:15. A fifty dollar down payment is needed to place an order. Ring packets can be picked up in the main office or guidance office.

Attention Seniors: Your Senior Class Panoramic Picture will be taken Thursday, September 3rd at 7:50 am. Remember – this is the ONLY time a Senior Class Picture will be taken for the rest of your life, so DON’T MISS OUT!! You only have one chance to be a part of this special event, so BE THERE on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3rd Seniors will be dismissed from your first period class.

For all Sophomore, Juniors and Seniors interested in bringing a guest to Arapahoe’s Homecoming Dance, please make sure you pick up a blue Dance Guest Pass Approval Form located in the Attendance Office or Main Office.
