 General Announcements

*Warriors - please remember if you are parked on campus you MUST have a current parking permit. If you need a permit, please go to the AHS website, fill out the Google form, pay and then see any of the DSO's at the security desks. Cars parked in the lot without a permit WILL be ticketed.  

*Warriors, Lifetouch will be here TOMORROW for picture retakes. They will be in the Atrium from 10:15am - 2:15pm. If you missed the initial picture day or if you would like to have your picture retaken, this is your opportunity to do so. Students who do not get their picture taken will not be in the yearbook. All students are required to have a student ID.  You can purchase pictures online at Lifetouch.com using this code - EVTT2QJJZ. 

*Seniors- Application Boot Camp Session #3 is TOMORROW at 8:15am in the Forum. This is a great way to check in and be certain you are on track for a successful application season!

*Seniors! Senior Yearbook photos are due Friday, October 9th. Head to @ahscalumetyearbook on Instagram for submission instructions. No late photos will be accepted. 

*Hey Warriors! Join the Black Student Alliance (BSA) and Latino Student Alliance (LSA) TODAY and every Tuesday from 3:35pm–4:15pm in the Zen Den in Counseling. All identity-based students and allies are welcome—come connect, build community and be together as Warriors!  Everyone is welcome. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Rivera or Mrs. Reilly.

Athletics

*Congratulations to our Boys Varsity Golf team as they are your Centennial League Champions!  Good Luck to the team TODAY as they take on Fossil Ridge and The Classical Academy.

*Come pack the stands for our Girls Volleyball teams TODAY at HOME against Overland.  Varsity will play at 6:30pm after JV plays at 5:00pm in Sitting Eagle Gymnasium.  Sophomore team will play @ 4:30pm followed by Freshman team 5:30pm in the Aux gym.  

*Good luck to our Boys Tennis teams TODAY as they take on the Grandview Wolves.  Varsity will play at the Holly Tennis courts and JV Black & Gold will play at Grandview HS. 

*Come cheer on your Boys Soccer teams TODAY @ HOME against Ralston Valley.  Varsity will play at 7:00pm after JV plays at 5:30pm at Centennial Stadium.  C-team will play at 4:30pm at the AHS varsity soccer field.

*Good luck to our Girls Field Hockey teams TODAY as they take on Denver East.  Varsity will play at 6:30pm after JV plays at 5:00pm.  C-team will play @ 4:00pm.  All games are at Denver East HS.

*Congratulations to our Arapahoe Mountain Bike Team on a great season so far! Cooper McDonagh finished 2nd and Preston Meyers finished 8th putting two Warriors in the top 10! A special shoutout to Max, Cole and Grant for making huge jumps in their finish positions. And congratulations to Vanessa, Keiryn and Bridget for their outstanding contributions to the team. Their next race is Sunday, Sept. 27th in Eagle.

*Congratulations to our Arapahoe Cross Country runners for another great race this past Saturday at St. Vrain! The Varsity Girls and Boys teams both finished 3rd. Good luck this week at the Dave Sanders Invitational!

*Good luck to our Boys Tennis teams TODAY against Heritage.  Varsity will play at Heritage tennis courts.  JV Black and Gold will play at Holly tennis courts.  All matches start at 3:30pm.

*Please support ABK Boys Soccer TODAY at Zell’s from 8:00am-8:pm.  Stop in this morning for coffee and a breakfast sandwich.  Refuel later with a smoothie or Italian soda!  Grab a panini or grilled cheese with soup for lunch.  Order a savory or sweet crepe for dinner and dessert!  The menu is HUGE!  20% of the proceeds will go to ABK Boys Soccer when you mention ABK Soccer at the time of purchase.

*This is a GREAT Wild West Homecoming Week!  Join us TONIGHT to cheer on our Warrior football team and congratulate your Homecoming Royalty during halftime.  Then TOMORROW come line the streets and cheer on your Wild West Parade.  The parade will start in the West parking lot and end at the Streets of Southglenn.  See you at the Homecoming Dance @ 8:00pm

*Warriors, the E-Sports Club is having their first meeting TONIGHT from 6:30pm-7:30pm.  If you are interested we will be meeting in room E1285.

*Calling any Warriors parked south of the turf field (in the Forum entrance parking lot)- WE NEED YOUR HELP!! Immediately after school or before, please move your cars so we have room for our food trucks setting up for TONIGHT’S events.  

*It’s Wild West Homecoming Week!  Join us in the cafeteria TODAY for Wild West cafeteria-wide Kahoot to test your western history trivia during lunch.  Come out and cheer on your Kickball teams, visit a food truck and stay for the fireworks TONIGHT.  Also, during both lunches - 

• PURCHASE your Homecoming T-shirts for $8.

• TODAY is the last day to purchase a rubber duck in the library for $1 to enter the lunchtime Duck Throw contest on Thursday.

• TODAY thru FRIDAY buy your HOCO Dance tickets for $20.

• TOMORROW wear anything “DENIM”.

*Good Luck to our Cross Country runners at the St. Vrain Invitational on Saturday, September 19th at Lyons HS.  Congratulations to the Boys Open squad as they took 1st, Varsity Boys took 3rd and the Girls Open squad took 2nd at the Littleton Lions Classic yesterday.
