 General Announcements

*’Warriors for Warriors’, an English 12 capstone group is raising money in order to send an active duty military member home from deployment during a family emergency. T-shirts and bracelets will be sold before school at the Forum entrance and during lunches in the cafeteria all this week. It's also Military Night at the Boys Lacrosse game TONIGHT at 7:00pm at Centennial Stadium.  Military IDs will be accepted for free admission. Thank you for supporting our cause. 


*Join SAGA TODAY for their day of expression. SAGA will be in the cafeteria during both lunches with items that represent their cause. Stop by and say hi!


*Save the Date Warriors!  AHS is excited to host the 3rd Annual Cultures of Arapahoe, presented by the Multicultural Student Alliances and—for the first time—in collaboration with AHS Vocal Music. The event will take place on Wednesday, May 6th, with the cultural fair from 5:00–6:30pm in the cafeteria, followed by the Music From Around the World concert at 7:00pm in the theater.  This event is FREE and families are welcome, and parents, guardians,  and grandparents are encouraged to join their students at their tables to help represent and celebrate their culture.


Athletics

*Come out and pack the stands for our Boys Varsity Lacrosse team TONIGHT against Rock Canyon at 7:00pm @ Centennial Stadium.   It's Military Night  and  military IDs will be accepted for free admission. JV will play at 4:30pm at Powell MS.   


*Good luck to our Boys Varsity Baseball team TONIGHT against Grandview @ Double Angel Field starting at 7:00pm.  JV will play at 6:00pm.  Our Sophomore team will play Mullen at Mullen HS at 4:30pm.  The Freshman team will play Grandview @ HOME at 4:30pm.


*Come pack the stands TOMORROW to celebrate our AMAZING Senior Baseball players at Senior Day @ HOME before the Varsity game at 10:00am against Smoky Hill.  


*Good luck to our 9 Warriors who will be competing at TOMORROW’S Boys Centennial B-League Swimming Championships.  The meet is being held at Cherokee Trail and starts at 10:00am.


*Good luck to our Boys Varsity Track and Field team TOMORROW at the Stutler Twilight Invitational at Cherry Creek HS.  


*Good luck to our Boys LPS Volleyball teams TOMORROW against Cherry Creek.  Varsity will play at 12:30pm after JV @ 11:00am.  C Team will play at 10:00am.  All games will be at Heritage HS.  


*Come Support the Boys Lacrosse program fundraiser with a Free Car Wash this Saturday, April 26th from 10am-2pm at Christian Brothers Auto-Centennial,  8201 S Holly Street. We would love any and all Donations!  100% of the proceeds will benefit the Boys Lacrosse Program. Each car will receive a free oil change coupon to use at a later date (a $100 value).

*Warrior Girls! The Warrior Women Exploring STEM Club is playing Blackjack to learn about odds. Join us TOMORROW at 7:45am to room W1882. No experience necessary! Just come to learn and have fun! See you there!

*Skip cooking and join us for an easy and delicious way to support the AHS Baseball program.  Join us at Shawarma Mediterranean Grill, TODAY for lunch and dinner. Let them know you’re there to support AHS Baseball and a portion of proceeds will benefit the program and help fund a new scoreboard.  Bring your friends, family, and neighbors and help us hit this fundraising goal out of the park for a new scoreboard!

*Good luck to our Boys LPS Volleyball teams TODAY against Grandview.  Varsity will play at 6:30pm after JV @ 5:30pm.  C team will play at 4:15pm.  All games are at Heritage HS.

*Good luck to our Girls Golf teams TODAY.  Varsity will play at 11:00am against Horizon at Riverdale Dunes Golf Course and JV will be in league play at Family Sports Golf Course @ 2:00pm.

*Art Attack is back!  Warrior artists and their families are invited to celebrate the 22nd Annual Art Attack at our reception TONIGHT from 5:30-7:00pm in the east wing of AHS.  Join us for an evening of creativity and celebration, with the Awards Ceremony beginning at 6:30pm. Guests may enter through the East “Bubble” entrance, and light refreshments will be provided. We can’t wait to celebrate our talented artists with you. We look forward to seeing you there!

Take this opportunity to help normalize unique gender expression by dressing in clothing that challenges traditional gender norms or helps you express the gender you already identify as. This is your chance to be creative! SAGA will also be set up in the cafeteria during both lunches to hand out temporary tattoos, pins, pride flags and stickers. See you then!

*Come enjoy some great food TODAY @ BIRDCALL all day while helping fundraise to launch the ‘Inclusive Employment Hub’.  The Inclusive Employment Hub is a program aimed at building real, local job opportunities for individuals with disabilities by working directly with businesses in the community.  Birdcall will be donating a portion of all sales TODAY to support the ‘Inclusive Employment Hub’.  Make sure to mention the program or use code HWH421 when ordering. 


*Art Attack is back!  Warrior artists and their families are invited to celebrate the 22nd Annual Art Attack at our reception TOMORROW from 5:30-7:00pm in the east wing of AHS.  Join us for an evening of creativity and celebration, with the Awards Ceremony beginning at 6:30pm. Guests may enter through the East “Bubble” entrance, and light refreshments will be provided. We can’t wait to celebrate our talented artists with you. We look forward to seeing you there!
