General Announcements

*Seniors, next Wednesday is Application Boot Camp, Session #1.  See you at 8:15am in the Forum, bring your laptops and your questions!  

*Warriors - before you know it, it will be Homecoming Week.  Now’s the time to get your Kickball teams together for the Kickball Tournament on Wednesday, September 16th.  Teams need to be 9-12 players plus a staff coach.  Team spots are limited so come get your sign up forms in the Activities Office,  Sign up by Friday, September 11th.  Get ready to have some fun.

*Warriors, if you are planning to bring a guest (someone who is not an AHS student) to our Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 19th please stop by the Front Desk or Activities office to pick up a Guest Pass Approval Form.  This Approval Form is due by Thursday, September 17th at 3:00pm. 

*It’s time to SADDLE UP for Homecoming! Our Homecoming Parade is happening September 19th, and this year we’re going WILD WEST! We want to see our clubs and sports teams bring their best Wild West spirit to the parade! Sign up your  club or team to participate by September 11th.  Let’s make this the biggest, most WILD Homecoming Parade yet!

*Attention Warrior Wrestlers, if you are interested in being part of the Homecoming Float,  please attend our meeting after school on Tuesday, Sept. 8th in room S1427 from 3:45-4:15.

*Hey Juniors and Seniors - Visit with Kansas TODAY in the PSC!  Get ready for next week's college visits, South Dakota School of Mines, Elon, Seattle, Georgia, Tennessee, CSU, Delaware, and Alabama!   Sign up in Scoir (SCORE) or stop into S1401 for more details.

Athletics

*Come support your Freshman Football team TODAY after school, as they take on Heritage at 5:00pm on the AHS turf.  The Annual Link Crew tailgate will begin at 4:00pm.  Come enjoy some pizza and bring your friends to cheer on the freshman football team.

*Good luck to our Boys Soccer teams TODAY as they take on Lutheran @ Lutheran HS.  Varsity will play at 7:00pm after JV plays at 5:15pm.

*Come cheer on your Warrior Cross Country teams TOMORROW @ the Liberty Bell Invite @ Heritage HS.  

*Let’s pack the stands for our Girls Flag Football teams TOMORROW as they take on Chaparral.  Varsity will play at 6:30pm at Echo Park Stadium.  JV will play at 4:00pm at Chaparral HS.  C-team will play Mountain View at 9:00 and Denver South @ 11:00am at Newton Middle School.

*Attention Boys Lacrosse Players: If you are interested in playing in the fall lacrosse league, attending weight training, or practices, please email Coach Bobzien at lbobzien@lps.k12.co.us.

*Calling all Warriors - Celebrate the kick off of college football OR support your favorite college by wearing College Colors TOMORROW!

Athletics

*WARRIORS - It’s a WHITE OUT for the Arapahoe vs Heritage football game TONIGHT @ 6:00pm as we battle to keep the Milk Jug here at AHS.  Arapahoe is sold out of tickets for TONIGHT’S game.  If Heritage has any remaining tickets, they will be sold at the stadium ticket booth before the game.  The gates will open up at 5:00pm.  Go Warriors!

*Come cheer on our Girls Volleyball teams TONIGHT as they take on Eaglecrest.  Varsity and Freshman teams will play at 5:15pm.  JV and Sophomore teams will play at 4:00pm.  All games are at Eaglecrest HS.  Good Luck girls!

*Good luck to our Boys Tennis teams TODAY.  Varsity and JV Black teams will play Cherry Creek.  JV Gold will play Littleton.

• Adult Tickets can be purchased at the Bubble (East Main) Entrance from noon-2:00pm TODAY & TOMORROW. 

• ONLY CASH OR CHECK will be accepted. 

• No online ticket sales will be available for this game.

• Ticket Prices are Adults - $7, Students - $5, 65 and older are FREE.  Any remaining tickets will be sold at the gate before the game, but this match up might sell out.

*If you are interested in joining the Outdoor Activities Club...the Sports Broadcasting Club...or Warriors of the Word - there will be an informational meeting TODAY after school in Mr. Brandberg's room, C1465.  If you cannot attend, please see Mr. Brandberg to express your interest.

*The Warrior Mountain Bike Team had a strong showing in Frisco this weekend for their first race.  Twenty-one riders, made up of both girls and boys, represented Arapahoe, many setting personal records.  There are three races left in the season, so still time to join.
