 General Announcements

*It’s Wild West Homecoming Week!  Warriors, you look great in your Pajamas! TODAY join us for Line Dancing on the South patio during both lunches.  A professional dance teacher will be leading western line dancing! Bring a friend and get ready to boogie down country style. TOMORROW  Seniors & Sophomore wear  ALL BLACK and Juniors & Freshman wear ALL WHITE. 

• Wednesday wear Boots and Bandanas and join us for our Kickball Tournament and Fireworks show.

*Calling all Freshman - Join us for a T-shirt decorating party TOMORROW after school in the Cafeteria led by your LINK Crew leaders.  Bring your own gold shirt or buy one at the event for $5.  Get your shirts ready for our Homecoming Assembly on Friday, September 18th.

*Class of 2027- Get ready for Application Boot Camp Session #2 this Wednesday at 8:15am in the AHS Forum.  Bring your laptops and questions.

*Juniors and Seniors, TODAY visit with New Mexico State University.  TOMORROW the University of Rochester, Miami and Oregon.  Look for Chapman, Creighton, and GCU on Wednesday and Wyoming, Nebraska, and Sarah Lawrence on Thursday.  On Friday with Fort Lewis, University of Richmond and Gonzaga!  Sign up in SCOIR (SCORE).

*Warriors, if you are planning to bring a guest (someone who is not an AHS student) to our Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 19th, please stop by the Front Desk or Activities office to pick up a Guest Pass Approval Form.  This Approval Form is due by Thursday, September 17th at 3:00pm. 

*Hey Warriors! Have you purchased your 2027 Calumet yearbook? Prices increase to $80 on October 30th, so get yours soon! You can purchase yearbooks on Infinite Campus under "fees” or with cash or check with the AHS Bookkeeper.

*Seniors! Senior Yearbook photos are due Friday, October 9th. Head to @ahscalumetyearbook on Instagram for submission instructions. No late photos will be accepted. 

Athletics

*Good luck to our Boys Tennis teams TODAY against Denver South starting at 3:30pm at Denver South HS.  JV Gold will play at Holly Tennis courts @ 4:00pm.

*Come cheer on our Girls Varsity Softball team TODAY as they take on the Mullen Mustangs @ Mullen HS at 4:15pm.  JV will play Cherry Creek at HOME at 4:30pm.  

*Shoutout to the Arapahoe Cross Country teams  for an incredible showing at the Warrior Invitational! Maeve Vancik took first place in the Girls Varsity race, pacing the team to second place overall. On the boys' side, Maddox Mangers brought home the win for Boys Varsity, leading the team to a first-place finish! Let's wish our runners good luck as they compete TOMORROW in the Littleton Lions Classic!"   

*Warriors - join us in supporting our Girls Field Hockey team while getting a great sweet treat!  Come over to Yogurtland across the street Wednesday, September 16th from 4:00pm-8:00pm, tell them you’re supporting AHS Girls Field Hockey and some proceeds will go to the program.

 General Announcements                                         

*TOMORROW is the “Showdown in the Boat” in Steamboat Springs, where 22 Arapahoe Mountain Bike Team riders will be competing in their 2nd race of the season.  The Girls races start 8:20am, last race is at 2:00pm. Good luck to all of the riders!

*Next week is Wild West Homecoming Week!  There will be fun lunch events everyday like line dancing, stick horse races, trivia, duck toss and a petting zoo.  Here is a list of dress up days & events next week:

• Monday- Pajama Day

• Tuesday-Monochromatic Day- Freshmen/Juniors wear white, Sophomores/Seniors wear Black

• Wednesday- Boots and Bandanas - Kickball Tournament and Fireworks show

• Thursday- Denim Day

• Friday- Black and Gold and Homecoming Assembly - Football game & announcement of Homecoming Royalty

• Saturday - Homecoming Parade & Dance

*Warriors - Today is your last chance to get your Kickball teams together for the Kickball Tournament on Wednesday, September 16th.  Teams need to be 9-12 players plus a staff coach.  Come get your sign up forms in the Activities Office.  

*It’s time to SADDLE UP for Homecoming! Our Homecoming Parade is happening September 19th, and this year we’re going WILD WEST!  Today is the last day to signup your club or team to bring their best Wild West spirit to the parade!  Come join the fun!

Come and enjoy some of your favorite cookies and find out what FBLA is all about. The Future Business Leaders of America club is open to all students.

Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or brand new to tabletop role-playing games, all interested students are welcome to join the Dungeons & Dragons Club, TODAY and every Thursday after school in room E1284.  Bring your creativity, grab some dice (or borrow ours!), and get ready to create unforgettable stories with fellow heroes. See you there!

*Hey Juniors and Seniors, visit with Colorado State University, Delaware and University of Alabama TODAY and Willamette University TOMORROW!  Sign up in Scoir (SCORE).

*Hey Wild Warrior Women! We're decorating for Homecoming after school TOMORROW @ 3:35pm.  Be there with black and gold decorations to show off our school spirit for this year's Homecoming!

*Warriors - before you know it, it will be Homecoming Week.  Now’s the time to get your Kickball teams together for the Kickball Tournament on Wednesday, September 16th.  Teams need to be 9-12 players plus a staff coach.  Team spots are limited so come get your sign up forms in the Activities Office.  TOMORROW is the last day to sign up!

*It’s time to SADDLE UP for Homecoming! Our Homecoming Parade is happening September 19th, and this year we’re going WILD WEST! We want to see our clubs and sports teams bring their best Wild West spirit to the parade! Sign up your  club or team by TOMORROW.  Come join the fun!

*This past Saturday, the Arapahoe Cross Country team competed at the Liberty Bell Invite.  We want to congratulate Dylan Escorcia, who set a new Arapahoe Cross Country 5k record of 15:05.82 and led the boys to a 9th place finish overall.  Maeve Vancik came in 9th and helped the girls team place 4th overall. Congratulations to all of our cross country athletes who represented Arapahoe and good luck this Friday at the Arapahoe Warrior Invite! Please see the email from Coach Hatak If you would like to help the team host this amazing race!
