*Hey Warriors! The Annual AHS Fall Charity Car Show is making a triumphant return on Saturday, October 2nd, from 9:00 a.m.- noon! The show will take place in the East Parking Lot off of University, and donations will support Arapahoe’s Toys for Tots drive. Grab your car, call up your family members and bring all your friends! You won’t want to miss these sweet rides!


*NHS reminder for Juniors and new Seniors: Your $15 application fee must be paid by check (payable to AHS), or exact cash, and turned into the AHS front office TODAY by 3:30 p.m. 


*Seniors applying to college: The FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid, opens tomorrow, October 1st. Don’t miss out on potential financial opportunities -- take the time to fill it out!


*Don’t miss the last night of the Virtual College Fairs of Greater Denver! The programs begin at 5:00 p.m. tonight and include college knowledge sessions on topics such as finding a college that fits, paying for college, and writing a college essay presented by college admission counselors.


*Seniors! Do you have an October 15th college application deadline? The College Application Tracking Form is due on October 1st by 3:45 p.m. for all schools with an October 15th application deadline. See Mrs. Arnold in the main office or Mrs. Conn in Post Secondary if you have questions regarding the tracking form.


*Are you a junior? Have you signed up for the PSAT/NMSQT? There are limited exams ordered so sign up today! If you want to take the exam, follow the link in this announcement and sign-up or follow the link in the September Drumbeat.  The last day to sign-up is October 4th. Sophomores may sign-up with their own link. The cost is only $20.


*Did you know you can earn  high school graduation credit by taking driver education? Go to https://littletonpublicschools.net/driversed. We have Saturday classes, after school classes, and online only classes this Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. Need a license test before, during, or after school onsite at LHS in LPS Driver Ed cars, call 303-347-4380.


*The LPS Human Resources Department will be hosting an LPS Job Fair on September 28th and October 1st.

*This afternoon, our Boys Varsity Soccer Team plays their first home game at AHS. It is at 4:30 p.m. against Smoky Hill on the varsity grass field. JV plays Smoky Hill on the north grass field. See you out there, and Good Luck to our Warriors!

 

*Come out on Thursday to cheer for Boys Tennis as they wrap up the regular season against Columbine! 

 

*Our Field Hockey Warriors face Colorado Academy at CA today-Varsity at 4:30 p.m. and JV at 5:45 p.m. 

 

*Volleyball competes at home against Overland today -Freshman game at 4:30 p.m., JV at 5:30 p.m. and Varsity at 6:30 p.m. 

 

*Hey Warriors! The first league game for your Football Warriors is this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at LPS stadium.  The theme for the night is wear your favorite jersey! See you there!

 

*The Zusi Family would like to thank all who participated in this past Saturday’s Second Wind Fund 5k. Together Sawyer’s Swimmers did a fantastic job raising over $5,600 dollars for youth who are at risk of suicide.

*Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Tennis Warriors who obliterated Grandview last night with a 6-1 victory! Come out on Thursday to cheer the boys on as they wrap up the regular season against Columbine! JV Black Tennis Warriors had a resounding win against Grandview last night as well taking the match 8-4!

 

*Last night, our Boys Varsity Soccer Team was victorious over Cherry Creek by a score of 3-2 in a double overtime thriller. JV won as well by a score of 4-2. Outstanding job Warriors!

*Warrior Field Hockey had a clean sweep last night as all three field hockey teams beat Mountain Vista! Way to go Warriors! 

 

*Our Arapahoe Cross Country Team competed in not one, not two, but THREE meets last week, with nearly half of the team setting all-time personal records! Girls varsity took 2nd place in the highest division at the Desert Twilight meet in Arizona on Friday, and Emily Lamontagne set an UNOFFICIAL SCHOOL RECORD of 17:09. These runners have a lot more in store this season- keep an eye out for the upcoming Pat Amato and Windjammer Invites next week!!

 

*ABK Fresh/Soph Team played their first league game yesterday against Cherry Creek and lost 2-3 in the final minutes.

 

*ABK Varsity Soccer takes on Cherry Creek High School tonight at 8:00 p.m. at the Stutler Bowl at Cherry Creek High School. JV plays Cherry Creek at 4:30 p.m. at Village Green Fields adjacent to Cherry Creek High School (East Union Ave & South Dayton St). Let’s go ABK!

*It was a fabulous weekend for Warrior Tennis! The JV GOLD team took FIRST PLACE at the Chatfield Invitational Tournament on Saturday. The boys crushed it by winning 20 out of 21 matches! What a fantastic way to end their season. The Varsity team spent the weekend playing tennis at the Pueblo tournament. Lots of great matches, fierce tennis, and great fun was had by all of the players. Go out and watch them continue their season this Thursday when they celebrate their seniors and compete against Columbine at home. Matches begin at 3:45 p.m. JV BLACK continues to play as well. Come support the boys as they take on Grandview this Tuesday at the AHS courts at 3:45 p.m.

 

*Warrior Field Hockey is back in action today competing against Mountain Vista. Varsity plays at 4:30 at Shea Stadium, JV and C Team play at AHS turf at 7:30 and 8:45. 

 

*Warrior Field Hockey thanks our AHS community for coming to our car wash on Saturday and supporting our program! 

 

*Last Saturday’s ‘Pull-Ups 4 Pull-Ups’ Community Service Fundraiser event raised nearly $1,000 and is still accepting donations. Thanks to the ABK families and the greater AHS community for your support! ABK and the Rocky Mountain Diaper Depot are two great causes benefitting from your generosity!
