Hey Warriors! The DECA Dodgeball tournament is full. Congrats to all the teams that made it in. If your team did not make it into the tournament, we would still love for your to come out and be a spectator at this fun and crazy event. The tournament is on Wednesday, October 24th from 6 to 9 pm in both gyms. We hope to see you there.

Hey TSA, don't worry if you missed the first informational meeting, we'd still love you to join us for the next TSA 2.0 meeting next Tues, October 2nd after school from 3:30-4:00 p.m. in room E1287 to see if this student organization is for YOU! All TSA chapter officer applications are due to Mr. McMullen by the end of the school day on MONDAY OCT 1st.

Athletics 

Congrats to Varsity Volleyball on their win against Mullen last night! The Warriors ran over the Mustangs in 3 games! Nice win, ladies...our next game is next Tuesday at Eaglecrest! GO WARRIORS!!

Congratulations to the Varsity softball team for defeating Mullen yesterday with a score of 10 to 4. Your Lady Warriors are currently 15 and 4 and ranked 9th in the state. We have a big league game tomorrow against Eaglecrest. We need your help Warriors! Come out to Eaglecrest at 11 am to cheer your Lady Warriors on!

Support the AHS tennis team tonight between 4 and 9 pm by eating dinner at Anthony's Pizza! 15% of all proceeds from the night go towards helping the tennis program build two new tennis courts. Grab a slice on the way to the football game!

Our JV gold boys tennis ended their season with a crushing victory over Thomas Jefferson's varsity team last night, winning 7-1. Nathan Holmes had a spectacular match at 2 singles, winning in a tight third set tie break! These tennis warriors went 9 and 3 for the season!

Congrats to the boys tennis team for winning the Centennial League! They capped off their regular season with wins against Cherokee Trail and Columbine. The team will compete in regionals next Wednesday and Thursday. Go Warriors!

Yesterday, your Boys’ Varsity Soccer team was victorious over Smoky Hill High School by a score of 10-1. The Junior Varsity defeated Smoky Hill by a score of 6-1. Great effort all around!

The PSAT is the only exam to qualify a student for National Merit Scholar Status, when taken during junior year.

Athletics 

Your Varsity Boys’ Soccer team plays a home match against Smoky Hill High School this afternoon at 4:30. The Junior Varsity will play Smoky Hill at 4:30 as well, on the JV field. Come cheer your Warriors to victory!

AHS Cheerleading is selling tickets for their fundraiser night with the Denver Nuggets. Join in on the fun on Saturday, November 3rd, as the Nuggets take on the Utah Jazz at the Pepsi Center. When you purchase through AHS Cheer, your ticket is discounted and a portion of each ticket sold goes back to the AHS Cheerleading Program. Lower level tickets are being sold for $45, and upper level tickets are being sold for $29. Order tickets online by using the link on the AHS Cheerleading social media accounts, or by the link posted on the flyers around school. Ask an AHS Cheerleader for help if you need further information!

Yesterday, your Arapahoe Boys’ Varsity Soccer team was victorious over Grandview by a score of 3-2. And the JV team won a hard-fought battle with Grandview by a score of 1-0. Nice work Warriors! 

Shout out to the Boys JV Black Tennis team for their Victory over Cherry Creek's #1 JV yesterday with a score of 8-5. Way to Go Warriors!!

Next Monday the second series of after school Swim clinics began. If you are interested, please pick up a flyer in the pool office. Girls Swim & Dive Season will be kicking off with a meeting next Wednesday, October 10th at 6:30 p.m. in the Forum, please enter through the Forum doors. New athletes will have an informational meeting with coaches, parent booster board members and team captains. Everyone will have an opportunity to preview team gear and try on team suits. Our pool party has been rescheduled to October 12th from 3:30-5:00 at the AHS pool. Both Boys and Girls Swim & Dive teams are invited.

Your Varsity Boys’ soccer team travels this afternoon to play a 5:30 match against Grandview High School at Legacy Stadium, located at Cherokee Trail High School. The JV team plays Grandview at 4:30 at Grandview High School; please note the different times and locations. Let’s go Warriors!

Boys basketball Open gym will now be after school today at 3:45-5:30. It has changed from its original time slot.

If you are interested in learning more, please come to the student interest meeting tomorrow, Tuesday September 25th at 7:55 am in room C1436. Bring a friend and talk to Mrs. Winn in the Social Studies department if you have any questions!

JV Gold boys tennis took first place overall at the Chatfield V2 tournament over the weekend. Brandt Payne and Luke Daharb were one of 4 doubles teams to take first place to clinch the title!

Congrats to the Varsity softball team for picking up 2 wins this weekend. On Friday, the Lady Warriors defeated Regis in a close game. On Saturday, the Lady Warriors defeated Smoky Hill 5 to 3. This brings our current record to 13 wins and 4 losses. We are back in action today against Overland. Good Luck Ladies. Keep the wins coming!

Congratulations to the boys and girls cross country teams on some tough running at the Dave Sanders Invite on Friday. Out of 21 division 1 schools, the boys varsity and jv both came in 5th place, and the boys open team came in 3rd. The girls varsity came in 9th, and both the girls jv and open teams were 5th overall. Great job Warrior runners!

Congratulations to the Girls JV Gymnastics Team for taking 2nd in their meet yesterday!  
Individual achievements include: Alyssa Sampson for placing 3rd All Around and 2nd on
Vault; Hope Jones for placing 3rd on Beam and Vault and 4th on Floor; Shia Coughlin for
placing 5th on Floor; Michaela Cain for placing 5th on Vault; and Talia Hanson for placing
6th on Beam.  The Varsity Team took 3rd with Hope Jones placing 5th on Bars.
WAY TO GO WARRIORS!!!

Congratulations to your Arapahoe boys golf team! They are now not only centennial
league champions but also regional champions.  They beat the 15 team field yesterday
at Murphy Creek Golf Club outdistancing 2nd place by seven strokes. A Special
congratulations to Jack Tickle and Riley Rottschafer for sharing first place honors shooting
one under par.  Next up the state championships October 1st and 2nd. Go Warriors!

Congrats to the Varsity softball team for defeating the Far Northeast Warriors by a score of 25 to 2 on Friday. Your Lady Warriors had a total of 21 hits in the game including 4 homeruns. The girls are back in action today at home against Westminster. Game time is 4:30 at the AHS Softball Field. Good Luck Ladies!

ATTENTION VOLLEYBALL FANS! Your Varsity Volleyball team had a scrappy win against a tough Rock Canyon team Saturday afternoon. The Warriors beat the Jaguars in straight sets. Our next match is TONIGHT at Grandview. Come cheer us on as we begin league play...GO WARRIORS!! 

On Saturday afternoon, your Arapahoe Boys’ Varsity Soccer team defeated Mountain Vista High School by a score of 3-1. The Arapahoe JV team battled to a 1-1 draw with Mountain Vista’s JV team. Great job Warriors!

Everyone has the warrior spirit today! Come and show your warrior spirit as we go head to head against Rock Canyon tonight at LPS Stadium. The 2018 homecoming royalty court will be announced at halftime! Tomorrow, we have the homecoming parade starting at 10am with lots of candy! Today is the last day to buy your Homecoming tickets in the cafeteria. At the door they will be 15 dollars. All guest forms are due today, no exceptions. The dance in the Aux Gym begins at 8 and has an arcade area, games & totally tubular decorations! Be there or be square! 

Juniors and seniors! Next week, the Post Grad Center will host CU Boulder, Grand Canyon University, the University of Oklahoma, Arapahoe Community College, Vanderbilt University, Baylor University, the University of Michigan, the University of Kansas, and Drake University. Amazing throwback outfits today warriors! Our warrior spirit is going to blast to the past tomorrow with freshman and juniors wearing gold and sophomores and seniors wearing black. For any freshman who don’t have any gold warrior shirts, don’t worry. There are gold homecoming shirts for 6 dollars in the cafeteria just for you! Homecoming tickets are still on sale at lunch. You must have your student ID to enter the dance and guest passes are available in the attendance office.

Congratulations to boys fresh/soph team for defeating the Highlands Ranch STEM junior varsity team 4-1. The team was led by 2 goals from Ben Green and 2 assists from Clark Roe. The whole program takes on Mountain Vista this Saturday at Vista, come out and support.

The boys tennis team improved their record to 4-0 with a 7-0 win against Overland yesterday. Congrats to Nick Stephenson and Jacob Lobb for their 6-0, 6-0 win.

Congratulations to the Warrior Golf Team for winning the Centennial League Championship. Also to Jack Tickle for being the Individual League Champion and Caleb Busta for finishing 2nd. Good luck at Regionals.

It is great to see everyone’s wacky and tacky outfits! Tomorrow is throwback thursday, with freshman and juniors dancing through the 80s and the sophomores and seniors wearing poodle skirts and leather jackets from the 50s. The traditional Arapahoe bonfire is tonight at the baseball field from 6:30-8:30. Join us for some BBQ at 6:30 sponsored by DECA. Homecoming tickets are for sale in the cafeteria for $10. You must have your student ID to enter the dance.

Juniors and seniors, this Friday, the Post Grad Center will host Texas Christian University. Please log in to Naviance for details and to sign up!

The first FBLA Meeting of the year is after school today in the forum. Come to the meeting to get membership paperwork and learn more about one of Arapahoe's largest clubs. 9th and 10th grade students, you may now finish your MAP testing in the Library through this Friday the 14th.

Congrats to the JV softball team for defeating Bear Creek yesterday by a score of 9 to 5. After losing to Bear Creek in a tournament this past weekend, it was a great revenge win for the team. Congratulations to the Varsity softball team for their big win against Bear Creek yesterday. Dominate pitching by Kayleigh Krueger, and some clutch hits by Leah Cackowski and Keely Holt, led the Warriors to a 9 to 2 Victory. Great Job Ladies!
