 General Announcements

*Warriors - Do you or a family member have old Arapahoe clothes that you don’t wear anymore? Donate them back to Arapahoe!  Boxes and bins will be available around the school to donate your old Arapahoe gear.  This clothing will be redistributed to staff, students, and families through January 13th. Anything and everything is appreciated!



Athletics

*Any girls interested in playing for ABK Soccer in the Spring are invited to join a pre-season indoor league that will start the 2nd week of January and runs up to ABK tryouts.  There will be 3 teams, so spots are limited to players who respond first.  Interested players should talk to our seniors running kick-arounds first.  If you don’t get a chance to contact the seniors, you can also email the booster club via the team website, https://www.ahswarriors.org/sport/girls/soccer.  Spread the word.

*Shout out to the Boys Sophomore, JV and Varsity Basketball teams for securing wins last night against Pueblo South. Way to go Warriors!

*Warriors - Please check out the Lost & Found table in the cafeteria.  All items will be donated to Goodwill after December 22nd.

*Check out the AHS Website for the Final Exam Week Bell Schedule, December 19th - 22nd. Buses will run normally in the morning and afternoon.


*Remember Warriors, if you have checked out a daily computer or charger please be sure to turn it into the Library. Fees for unreturned items will be applied to Infinite Campus accounts next week. 


*Warriors, our "De-Stress" event is back and will take place on Monday, December 19th during both lunches. Finals can be a stressful time of year and the mental health department wants you to feel relaxed and ready to do your best. Please stop by the cafeteria Monday during lunch to have a warm drink, color, pet a therapy dog, and more! Good luck on finals!

*Thank You to everyone in our Arapahoe community, who helped make this year’s Annual Toy Drive a huge success.  We wrapped 1000 toys for Goldrick Elementary and will deliver them this afternoon, along with school supplies, hats and gloves.

Finals can be a stressful time of year and the mental health department wants you to feel relaxed and ready to do your best. Please stop by the cafeteria Monday during lunch to have a warm drink, color, pet a therapy dog, and more! Good luck on finals!

*For any girl interested in trying out for Girls Soccer in the spring, there will be an informal, informational meeting in room N1486 Wednesday, December 14th at 3:40pm. *EPIC Campus Aerospace Update!  Students, are you interested in machining a part that could be sent into space?  Would you like to take classes related to robotics, remote sensing, electronics, and satellites?  If you answered yes to either of these questions, please join us for the Aerospace Information Meeting TONIGHT at 6:30pm in the Arapahoe High School Theater to learn more about this exciting pathway that will be available to students at the EPIC Campus next school year.  This informational meeting is for students and parents. Go to the EPIC Campus website to RSVP.

*CONGRATULATIONS to junior, Simon Slovut, for being selected to the 2023 Colorado All State Philharmonic Orchestra!  Simon was selected (out of hundreds of auditions) as one of sixteen first violins to perform in the Philharmonic Orchestra this year.  He will represent Arapahoe in the Colorado All State Orchestra on February 2-4 at Colorado State University.  Way to go Simon!!!


*Warriors - on Monday, December 12th, wear a festive scarf or festive socks to school.  On Tuesday, December 13th,  it’s our Purple Out day.


*Warriors, we will continue accepting cash donations for the 21st Annual AHS Toy Drive until December 15th.

*Warriors, there is a free Alive@25 class Monday, December 12th from 3:45pm - 8:15pm in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class, the Sheriff's Office pays the $79 fee.  If you are 15 1/2 you can get a driver's permit after taking the class.  Some insurance companies give a discount on rates for taking the class.  This is a 4 1/2 hour class.  Sign up online at www.aliveat25.us  and use the password  arapahoe.  Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.


*Earn high school graduation credit this Winter or Spring by taking Drivers Education through Littleton Public Schools.  Classes are filling up fast.  Go to the LPS Drivers Education website to register and look for an amazing scholarship opportunity through Honda.  For class times and dates, click on this link - https://littletonpublicschools.net/driversed.

*A huge CONGRATULATIONS to your State Runner Up Varsity Cheerleading team! The cheers competed in the CHSAA State Spirit competition yesterday evening and are bringing home some hardware with them! Congratulations on your 2nd place win! Roll Tribe!!

*The State Spirit Championship for dance is coming up this Saturday at the Denver Coliseum and our Varsity TOMS will be taking the floor at 1:03 pm in the Hip Hop division. Come out and bring some LOUD Warrior noise in support of our TOMS!  The event runs all day but the Hip Hop division begins at 12:23 pm. Tickets are $12 and should be purchased in advance at axs.com or Click Here.
