TONIGHT ... it's state semi-finals, and the #3 seed AHS boys varsity lacrosse is fired up to face #2 seed Mountain Vista. Hope to see you all there:  Legacy Stadium at Cherokee Trail High School 7:00 pm.  Boys are Rollin'!

Come out tonight and support the ABK Soccer team in their quarterfinal playoff game against Mountain Vista.  Game time is 7 p.m. at Shea Stadium in Highlands Ranch.  Let's pack the house and cheer them on to a victory! Go Warriors!

Athletics

The Varsity Girls Tennis competed in State last weekend. The team took 5 out of 7 teams to state for competition. Overall, the team finished in 10th place out of 24 teams. The #1 Doubles team of Natalie Sloboth and Elli Palmer earned the highest finish for the team taking 2nd Place. Thank you for a great season!

Athletics

Congratulations to the boys swimming and diving team for placing 2nd in the A League Meet this weekend. Griffin Eiber won the 500 freestyle and the 200 Individual Medley while Ben Dufachard won the 100 breaststroke.  Arapahoe also placed first in the 200 freestyle relay. Sophomore Caleb Ives placed 2nd in diving. Congratulations to new state qualifiers: Merrill Redfern, Chris Glance, Connor Babbs and Drake Hampton.  Arapahoe will take nineteen individual qualifiers to the State Meet at the Air Force Academy this Friday. 

The ABK Soccer team advanced in their playoff run. by defeating Regis 3-2 in a hard-fought win Friday night.  Thanks to all of the fans who can out to support the team!  The team advances to the quarter finals with a match-up against Mountain Vista Wednesday night at 7:30 at Shea Stadium in Highlands Ranch.  Let's pack the house and turn this into a home game!   Let's go Warriors!

Donate your leftover school supplies to help children in need! All donations will go towards CASA, a program designed to help abused and neglected children. CASA could use anything from writing supplies to notebooks and reading books. Donation boxes are located in the bubble, the cafeteria, and the north and south hallway. Thanks for your support!

All library materials are due back to the library today. Students must take care of any library fines prior to arena scheduling. Fines may be paid in the library to Mr. Murphy or Mrs. Rice or in the main office to the bookkeeper, Mrs. Cheney. Attention Students...all PE lockers need to be cleaned out today. Anything left in PE locker rooms will be donated, so be sure to take time to get your belongings. Athletic locker rooms need to be cleaned out by May 20th.

Hey Warriors! Need something to do tonight? Come out and support your ABK Varsity girls’ soccer team as they take on Regis in the second round of state playoffs.​ Game starts at 6:00 pm at Regis High School.  GO ABK!!!!!

Congratulations to the boys varsity lacrosse team who beat Kent Wednesday night and now advance on to the Elite Eight Quarter Finals!  Come on out to Legacy Stadium tomorrow afternoon at 1 pm to root on the guys as they take on #6 seed Mullen.  Boys Are Rollin'!

Attention Hockey Players! There will be a parent and player meeting for anyone interested in playing hockey in LPS. When: Wednesday May 18, 2016  6:00 pm; Location: THE BOARDROOM Sports Bar & Steakhouse; This meeting is for new players and parents or anyone who wants to learn more about Heritage Hockey! There are changes to the Fundraising approach this year, so returning players and parents can come to the meeting to learn  how to get some of your hockey paid for before school starts in the Fall!

Attention members of National Honor Society...  
Our last meeting of the year is happening today after school in the forum.  At this meeting, senior members can leave after a couple of quick announcements, and then juniors will hold elections for next year's officers. Juniors interested in running for office do not need to register ahead of time, but they should plan to speak about their qualifications for approximately 1 minute.  Service logs for this semester can also be turned in at this meeting if you're ready to turn yours in, or you can also turn them in at Mr. Smith's desk in the science office any time before the end of the school year.  See you today at 2:25 in the forum!

Athletics

Congratulations to the ABK Varsity girls soccer team on their fantastic win in the first round of state playoffs last night!  The girls defeated Arvada West 3-1 to advance to the second round.  Camryn MacMillan, Dani Babb and Kelsey Vogel contributed goals in the win. Plan to come out and support your Warriors and watch second round play against Regis at Regis on Friday.  Go ABK!!!

Here we go lacrosse fans!  Today kicks off the boys’ varsity lacrosse play-offs with AHS hitting the field at 5:00 pm at LPS Stadium to take on Kent Denver.   Come on out and make some noise!  Go Warriors!

If you signed up for the Alive@25 class this afternoon, the class will start at 2:30 in room W101. If you want to attend there is still room available. This class is free if you are voluntarily taking it for insurance reduction or getting  your driving permit 6 month early. For any questions talk to Deputy Englert.


Athletics

Congratulations to Arapahoe Girls Golf team who took 4th place overall in the regional tournament yesterday in Ft Collins! Beth Lebar was 7th overall with a score of 85. Other state qualifiers were Christine Attai, who shot an 89 and Jacq Pepper.

Your AHS Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team is ranked #3 in the state, and opens up the playoff schedule tomorrow night at LPS Stadium at 5 pm as they face #14 Kent Denver. Come on out and make some crazy loud Warrior noise!  

Attention Volleyball Warriors! Tonight is the last Open Gym of the Spring! Let's make it our best one yet! We will be in the Auxiliary Gym from 7-9pm. Come early to help set up nets...GO WARRIORS!

The ABK Varsity girls’ soccer team takes on Arvada West tonight in the first round of the state playoffs. Let’s get a big Warrior crowd out to support them at 7 p.m. at LPS Stadium.  Go ABK! 

For boys interested in playing soccer next fall, there will be a quick, informational meeting at 2:30 in room C-7 this Thursday. Please make every effort to attend.

2016-2017 Link Crew Leaders and A-Team Members, Today Is May Play Day! Please join us in Sitting Eagle Gymnasium today from 4:00p.m.-6:00p.m. for a fun and festive kickoff to prepare for next year's incoming freshmen and new students. 


Athletics

Congratulations to the freshmen baseball team on a great win at home over Cherry Creek on Friday! The final score was 11-7! It was a great way to end an awesome season. See you next year warriors!

Please congratulate both of your Boy's JV Black and Gold lacrosse teams, as they wrapped-up their successful season on Saturday in their annual showdown game. Black was this year’s champ in an 11 to 8 victory. It was a tough battle; but in the end they were united as true "Warriors". Congratulations on a great spring season for both teams!

Congratulations to the ABK JV team who are champions of the ABK JV Invitational with their 5-0 victory over Monarch. Goals were contributed in the win by Ashlyn Baird, Annie Baker, Anna McCollister, Anna Van Denend and Emma Purcell.  The ABK C Team was also victorious over Ft Collins with a score of 4-2 and they finished third overall.  Great job Warriors!
