*Juniors, register now to take the PSAT. Registration closes October 9. Please see Ms. Vail in the counseling department. Cost is $20 -cash or check only. The test is on Wednesday, October 16th.

*PSAT Math prep sessions will be held on Monday, October 7th and Thursday, October 10th from 7:30 to 8:15 AM in room S1423. The English prep sessions will be on Tuesday, October 8th and Friday, October 11th in the tiered classroom E1287. Don’t miss out!

*This week Wednesday, Oct 2nd at 8:50 AM in the tiered classroom will be our first Sources of Strength meeting. We will start planning the first campaign for the year. Anyone is welcome to come and help spread the message of Hope, Help and Strength.  

*Seniors! Do you have an October 15 college application deadline?  If so, blue forms are due to Mrs. Arnold in the Main Office by the end of the day this Wednesday, Oct 1st. 

*Hey Warriors, do you love Dodgeball? If so, it's time to register for one of the most exciting events of the year. The Annual DECA Dodgeball tournament is just around the corner. This year's theme is DECA World Cup. So gather 5 boys and 5 girls and choose a country to represent. Registration packets can be picked up starting this Friday in the Business Department. Only the first 20 teams to register will make it into the tournament. 

*The first TSA meeting is this Wednesday, Oct. 2nd after school @ 3:35 PM in the Woods Classroom, E1284.  TSA is for students who want to take their interest in STEM, Technology, and Engineering one step further. Come and find out more about this exciting opportunity!

*Under the Direction of Mr. Shawn Funk, ‘The Pride of Arapahoe’ Warrior Marching Band performed in 5A competition Saturday at the Legacy Marching Invitational. In their first show of the season, our outstanding band placed eleventh at prelims, then gained scoring points and advanced two places to gain a ninth place finish at finals, earning a score of 72.4! Our band will hit the field again this Saturday, October 5 at the Douglas County Invitational. Go Warriors!

*Juniors and seniors only - Over 50 colleges are visiting this week. Please log in to Naviance to view the complete list and sign up to attend! Students, reservations on Naviance are required for planning purposes.  

*9th & 10th Graders Finish your Language Arts and Math MAP Tests in the Library this week from 7:45 am to 3:45 pm.

*On Tuesday, AHS will host college visits from Baylor, Bucknell, Seattle Pacific, Michigan, Marquette, Ohio State, Belmont, Puget Sound, Colorado Mesa, Seattle, the University of Iowa, Franklin & Marshall, St. Olaf, Fort Hays State, Maryland, Gonzaga, Colgate, and the University of the Pacific.  Please check Naviance for updated locations. 

Athletics    

*Congratulations to your Football Warriors for bringing home another "W" against Douglas County High School. Braving strong rain and wind, your boys stayed strong for a 25-7 victory! Come out to Legacy Stadium Friday to cheer them on against Cherokee Trail.

*A huge congrats to the Varsity Softball team for their big win against Eaglecrest on Saturday. The Lady Warriors crushed the Raptors in a 4-inning, 12 to 0 run rule victory. The Warriors added 2 more homeruns. The team is currently 16-3 overall and 5-0 in league. We have a big game on Wednesday against CT. Good Luck Ladies!

*Our Field Hockey Warriors battled Kent on Saturday. Varsity lost 0-3, JV won 1-0 and C Team lost 0-1. They face Liberty this coming Friday. 

*The 2019-2020 Wrestling Season is quickly approaching. If your son or daughter is thinking about competing this season, please attend our Parent Meeting on October 9 in the AHS Forum at 6:07 pm. 

*Attention boys lacrosse players, there is a mandatory players and parents meeting tomorrow night, Tuesday October 1st, at 7PM in the Forum. If you cannot make it please contact Coach Bobzien directly.

*This Saturday, The Pride of Arapahoe Warrior Marching Band will compete in their first competitive show, the Legacy Marching Invitational. Our band performs in preliminary competition at 1:15 PM at Adams 12 Five Star Stadium. Good luck Warriors!

*Warriors, October is right around the corner which means it's time for Offline October at Arapahoe! Offline October is an organization, a pledge, and a campaign started by teens in Centennial to encourage everyone in our community to take a social media break during the month of October and reconnect with your friends. Starting next Tuesday, you can pledge to go offline! Sources of Strength, Student Council, and other student groups hope you join together to help Arapahoe go offline!  


Athletics

*The ABK Fresh/Soph Soccer Team won their game against Grandview 6-0! Incredibly in 9 games they have only given up 5 goals and scored 49 goals. Only 4 games left in the Fresh/Soph season so plan to get out and support these great players.

*Last night, your Boys Varsity Soccer Team played Grandview to a scoreless tie in double overtime. Your Arapahoe Boys JV squad was victorious by a score of 3-0 over Grandview. Great job Warriors!

*Congrats to the Varsity Softball Team for defeating Mullen 15-3 yesterday. Your Lady Warriors are now 4 and 0 in league. Tomorrow is our Senior game against Eaglecrest. Come out and support the team and our 4 amazing seniors. Senior ceremony starts at 10:45 AM and the game starts at 11:00 AM. Good Luck Ladies!

*Don't miss your Football Warriors as they compete against Douglas County High School tonight.  The game starts at 7:00 PM at Douglas County Stadium. See you there!

*On Saturday our Field Hockey Warriors take the field at Kent’s DeSo Field. Varsity plays at 9:30 AM, JV at 11:00 AM, and C Team at 12:15 PM. This will be an exciting matchup so come out and support our Warriors!

*The Arapahoe Boys’ Varsity Soccer team plays Grandview High School at 5:00 tonight at Littleton Public Schools Stadium. The Arapahoe Junior Varsity plays the Grandview JV team on the Arapahoe south soccer field at 4:30. Come cheer on your Warriors!

*The Varsity Tennis Boys hit the road today to challenge the state's best at the Pueblo South Invitational!  Good Luck Warriors!

*Congrats to the JV and Varsity softball teams for defeating Overland on Monday. Varsity is currently 3-0 in league and the JV team is 2-1. The Varsity team added two more home runs to their stats, bringing the season total to 18. Both teams are back in action on Thursday against Mullen. Good Luck Ladies!

*Last night the Warrior Tennis Boys dominated Eaglecrest! Varsity went 6-1 and JV Black had a complete shutout with a 12- 0 victory! Good luck to JV as they travel to Denver South today! The Varsity Warriors hit the road on Thursday to challenge the state's best at the Pueblo South Invitational! Good luck!

*Warriors VICTORIOUS! The Warrior VB Teams played Overland last night!  The Freshmen, the Sophs and the JV all won in two sets and Varsity won in three sets!

*The ABK Fresh/Soph soccer team, with a record of 6-1-1, has an away game today at 4:30 pm against Grandview. If you see a player in the halls, cheer them on to remind the Wolves how Warriors battle!

*Our Warrior Varsity Golf Team won Regionals again this year in Colorado Springs! Our team’s top finisher earned the Regional Champion title shooting a four under par. GOOD LUCK AT STATE!

*Our Warrior Field Hockey Teams battled hard against Colorado Academy and played like true Warriors but lost to tough competition. Their next games are this Saturday against Kent.

*Congrats to the JV Gold Boys Tennis Team as they placed 2nd in the Kent Denver 
Invitational this past weekend. Strong showings by all the teams, including a 1st place win by the 2 Doubles team.

*Attention all NHS members- please check your email for important information regarding participation and membership.

*Warriors, as the weather continues to stay warm, we want to remind you that the school dress code is still in place. This means that bare stomachs and backs, extremely short shorts, and low-cut tops are not appropriate for the learning environment. Also, all tops must have straps, and undergarments must not show. Please be respectful of yourself and others by adhering to these guidelines. If you do not, you will be asked to change or wear something over your clothes.

*Our Field Hockey Warriors are back on the field today facing Colorado Academy. Varsity at 4:15 PM, JV at 5:30 PM and C Team at 6:30 PM. All games are on our AHS home turf so come out and cheer on our Warriors to victory!

*Congrats to the Varsity softball team for defeating Grandview 3 to 2 yesterday in their first Centennial League game. The Lady Warriors hit their 16th homerun of the season. The team is currently 12 and 3 and is back in action tomorrow at Smoky Hill at 11:00am. Good Luck Ladies!

*Congratulations to the Football Warriors for bringing in a win against Rock Canyon last night.  The final score was 24-12. Both the offense and the defense had an outstanding game.  Next Friday the team is away vs Douglas County High School.

JV Black won big with an 8-3 victory, while JV Gold lost 1-7 and Varsity went down 2-5! Good luck tonight against Mullen! 

*Congrats to the Varsity softball team for defeating Westminster yesterday 10-0. Your Lady Warriors are currently 11 and 3 this season and begin league play today against Grandview. Game time is 4:30 PM at the Arapahoe softball field. We could really use your support Warriors!

*Reminder: Speech and Debate novices and varsity members alike, we're meeting tomorrow after school in C1452, to lay some groundwork for the season. We hope you can join us!

*Are you interested in Sources of Strength and becoming a peer leader? We are looking for students who want to help lead the charge for positive message campaigns that spread hope, help and strength. Peer training will be in the Library from 7:15-8:15 AM on Thursday, Sept. 19th and Friday, Sept. 20th. If you are interested please see Mr. Spare or Ms. Zimmerman in the counseling office. We will see you there!

*Your Varsity Boys Soccer team lost last night to Ralston Valley, 0-1. On Monday evening, the JV squad won their game against Ralston Valley, 10-0.

*The freshman volleyball team defeated the Columbine Rebels in two sets! The sophomore and JV volleyball teams both lost close matches in three! Varsity won a five-set thriller over Columbine! All teams fought hard and played with passion! 

*Your Tennis Warriors shut out Overland last night! Varsity went 7-0 and JV was 3-0. Good luck again today as they battle Denver East at City Park!

*Today our Field Hockey Warriors travel to Legacy Stadium to face-off with Grandview. Varsity at 4:30 and JV at 5:45.

*Attention all boys and girls swimmers and divers interested in being a part of the Warrior Swimming and Diving program. There is a meeting in the school Forum TODAY from 3:37-4:10 pm
