 General Announcements

*Warriors, come get your Black Out T-shirt for Friday’s football game.  Shirts will be sold today and tomorrow at both lunches in the cafeteria for $10 each with cash or check.

*Hey Freshmen! During both lunches today, your Link Crew leaders will be serving up cold popsicles on the South Patio. Come grab a treat and sit with your LINK Leaders to celebrate the first few weeks of school!

*Congratulations to the 14 Arapahoe Mountain Bike Club riders that competed in the Cloud City Challenge in Leadville this past weekend. For the second time ever we had a podium finish in the Sophomore girls division. If you are interested in AHS Mountain Biking, please see Mr. Lewis in the Counseling Office. Great job riders! 

*Seniors who are applying to college: Application Boot Camp starts next Wednesday, September 6th at 8:30am in the Forum! Complete your applications with help from Arapahoe's counselors and be ready to submit in time for Colorado's Free Application Days October 17th-19th! 

*Warriors, if you are planning to bring a guest (someone who is not an AHS student) to our Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 9th, please stop by the Front Desk or Activities office to pick up a Guest Pass Approval Form.  This Approval Form is due by Thursday, September 7th at 3:00pm.

*SUPPORT Arapahoe Theatre and get something great to eat at the same time.  Stop by Zell’s Creperie on Friday, September 8th between 7:00am and 7:00pm and grab a panini or crepe.  Mention Arapahoe Theatre and some of the proceeds will go to the program.

Athletics

*Congrats to the Varsity Softball team for their 6-1 win over Douglas County last night.  Both varsity and JV are back in action TODAY against Mountain Vista.

*Warriors - We need all of YOU to come to the THE BIG GAME TONIGHT.  Girls Volleyball takes on Heritage at Heritage!  Freshman play at 4:30pm, JV is at 5:00pm, Sophomores play at 5:30pm and Varsity is at 6:30! Go warriors!

*Come out and support our Arapahoe gymnasts on the Heritage/LPS Gymnastics team as they compete this Saturday at the Cherry Creek Invitational at Cherry Creek High School.  The competition begins at 9:00am.  Both Varsity and JV will compete against 11 other area high schools.

*Hey Warriors - boys lacrosse players interested in playing in the fall lacrosse league need to register by Labor Day, Monday, September 4th.  Registration and details are on the Team App. If you do not have access,  please email Coach Logan Bobzien directly at lbobzien@lps.k12.co.us

*WARRIORS - Tickets are on sale during lunches for the Arapahoe/Heritage football game this Friday night at LPS Stadium at 7:00pm.  There is a limited number of tickets available and this game will sell out so buy your tickets today.  Cash or check will be the method of payment.

Please note:  Arapahoe students with an athletic pass will need to bring their student ID or a photo of their ID on their phone to present at the admissions gate.  No Infinite Campus search will be accepted for free admission.  If you need to get a new ID to show you have an athletic pass, please visit the bookkeeper’s office before Thursday to have a new ID printed.

Ticket prices are $7 for adults (18-65), $5 for students (K-12) and $5 for Senior Citizens (over 65). Go Warriors!

*The Boys Varsity Tennis Warriors brought home a hard fought win with a 4-3 victory over the Chaparral Wolverines last night!  The boys will be in action at home, Thursday against Cherry Creek.  Come out and cheer them on! Good luck Warriors.

*Congrats to the Girls Varsity, JV and Soph Volleyball teams for their wins over Ponderosa last night.  Thanks to the awesome fans and Toms for helping cheer Varsity on to victory.  The Warriors take on Heritage tomorrow night at Heritage and we need the entire TRIBE there to be loud and proud.  Varsity starts at 6:30pm.

*All Warriors - We need you to vote for the Arapahoe/Heritage game to be showcased Friday on 9NEWS, 9Preps Game of the Week. Go to 9news.com/sports and vote for the Arapahoe/Heritage game to be featured on 9News.  Voting is open until Thursday at 10:00am.

*Our Field Hockey Warriors defeated Smoky Hill last night! Varsity won 3-0 and JV won 1-0!

*The Varsity Boys Tennis team travels to Chapparal to battle the Wolverines TODAY at 3:30pm.  Good Luck Warriors!

*Warrior Arapahoe Girls Volleyball takes on Ponderosa TONIGHT at home.  Varsity starts at 6:30pm in the main gym with JV just before at 5:00.  Lower levels play at 4:30pm and 5:30pm in the Aux gym.  Also, it's Heritage week for volleyball.  We need the entire TRIBE to show up at Heritage on Thursday night, August 31s!.  See you there!

*The ABK Boys Soccer teams are hosting Legacy today.  Varsity starts at 6:00pm at LPS Littleton Stadium.  Tickets can be purchased online at GoFan.com.  JV will be at 4:30pm at the AHS soccer field.  Go ABK!

*The Varsity Softball team picked up wins over Fort Collins and Grand Junction Central this weekend in the FAN Tournament.  Great job, ladies!  Both Varsity and JV softball have a busy week; Varsity has games against Douglas County, Mountain Vista, and Wheat Ridge.  JV will play against Castle View and Mountain Vista.  Good Luck Warriors!

*Your Warrior Fresh/Soph ABK Boys are coming off a strong 10-0 win against Dakota Ridge on Saturday and face Legacy today in Broomfield at 4:30pm.
