*Hey Warriors!  You may have heard that the Wind River Journey is coming up in April.  One of the things that is a tradition on this trip is for our group to take items to share with the Northern Arapaho Nation.  This year, we are holding a coat drive to help support their community, and we need your help! If you have a moment over the break to do a little spring cleaning, please set aside any gently used coats and jackets for this cause.  We would love to be able to share lots of warmth, literally and figuratively, with our friends on the Wind River Reservation. We will be collecting these items April 1 - April 10. See Mr. Morahan or Ms. Kershaw with any questions. We are grateful in advance for the generosity our Arapahoe community consistently demonstrates!

*It's feeling pretty wacky around here warriors! Thank you for all of you who dressed in your best wacky tacky style and displaying your lime green shirts in honor of Tony. Yes, lime green is his favorite color. We want you all to come to the senior vs. staff basketball game tonight at 7pm. You can buy tickets at the door for $5.00. Heads will be shaved, pies will be thrown and points will be scored for Tony's Wish.

*Congrats the JV Gold Girls Tennis team for starting the season with two victories over Denver East and D’Evelyn. Join the tennis team at Yogurtland on Thursday at 5:30 to help support Tony's wish.

*The Fresh/Soph ABK Ladies fought hard against Columbine Monday afternoon, but came away with a tie. Please come out today at 4:30 to cheer them on as they face the Regis Raiders! GO Warriors!

*Come on out to the baseball field today to watch your Arapahoe Warriors Varsity Baseball team take on Heritage at 4 pm. The snack shack will be open with grilled hot dogs and hamburgers as well as plenty of great snacks.  See you there!

*The Warrior Boys Lacrosse season will commence Wednesday versus Columbine at Trailblazer Stadium with a 7:30 p.m matchup.  Come out and support your highly regarded lacrosse team as they start their Spring journey.

*Warrior Week and our support for Tony continues! Tomorrow is wacky tacky day!  Wear your Warrior Week shirt tomorrow and add your own wacky and tacky twist to it.  We will have a pancake breakfast served from 8-9:30am by Flippin Flapjacks. Come a little early to school and enjoy pancakes for $5.00. Then you will be dismissed from your second hour class to go to the gym for a special assembly.  Please bring money with you for our miracle minute. Tomorrow night is the staff vs seniors basketball game at 7:00. Tickets are $5 and available at the door. Tickets will also be sold during both lunches today and tomorrow. The dress up day for Thursday is "A day in the UK." Please go to Yogurtland on Thursday and a portion of the proceeds will also support Tony's wish. Thank you for your participation in Warrior Week events!

*Reminder: Free Alive@25 class today in room W1874 it will start right at 3:45, please be on time. If you signed up on-line PLEASE show up. If you want to take the class sign up on-line or talk to Deputy Englert.

*There will be a quick end of year TSA meeting today after school @ 3:35 in room  E1284. We will also be discussing and passing out paperwork for TSA Nationals in Washington DC this June! Don't miss your opportunity for this exciting trip, as the deadline for turning in deposit & paperwork is the Tuesday after Spring Break, April 2nd!

*Congratulations to our own Arapahoe Winter Guard, who competed in Rocky Mountain Color Guard Association's contest on Saturday.   ACG performed their 2019 show, "Still I Rise." The team had their best show of the season, gaining an incredible TEN POINTS in just two weeks.  Way to go Warriors!

The team is made up of students from Arapahoe, Littleton, and Heritage High Schools.  This meeting will introduce the head coach, what Heritage/LPS Gymnastics is all about, and provide further information on April Team Try-Outs. The meeting is today from 5-6pm at Heritage High School in the 2nd floor lecture hall. See you there!

*Hey Warriors!  Do you know how you hate it when LPS doesn't call snow days?!  How about showing our superintendent a little gratitude for calling TWO snow days last week!   If you would like to write a short note of thanks to Superintendent Ewert, drop it off in the basket in the main office and Mrs. Pramenko will deliver them.  Showing gratitude is good for your mental health. It's a tough decision to close a school district. I know he will appreciate your positive feedback. Thanks, Warriors!

These ensembles have been working hard since November to prepare their shows and all the Warriors wish good skill to these fine musicians and performers!

*The Girl's Varsity Soccer Team played Douglas County High School in the first game of the Warrior Invitational on Tuesday and won 3-0!  Two goals were scored by Lauren Walter, both assisted by Reagan Bridges, and one goal was scored by Reagan Bridges, assisted by Audrey Weiss.  Way to go Lady Warriors!!! Arapahoe Varsity will face Longmont on Saturday at 5pm at LPSS and then Columbine on Monday at 4pm at Columbine.  Please come out and support your Lady Warriors!

*JV Girls Soccer defeated Douglas County on Tuesday 2-0, with goals by Avery Ott and Jackie Lyons.  Come support the girls on Saturday at 1:00pm at LPS Stadium. Go ABK!

*AHS Freshman Baseball beat the winter storm against Mountain Vista Tuesday night with a final finish of 7 -5.  Congratulations to the team on their first game and first win!

*Hey Senior boys! Think you’ve got what it takes to be the 2019 Mr. Arapahoe?  Don’t miss out on a chance to win FREE prom tickets and a tux for prom night. Applications are due March 22nd!  They are available in the math office. We’re excited to see who will be competing for Mr. Arapahoe!

*Interested in competing in the FBLA Volleyball Tournament?  There are still a few packets left! Come By the business department to pick one up.  Have you already picked up a packet? Be sure to turn your packet in as soon as possible to the business department to ensure your teams spot in the tournament.

*Free Alive @ 25 class Tuesday March 19th at 3:45pm - 8:15pm in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee.  If you are 15 1/2 you can get drivers permit after taking the class and a lot insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line at www.aliveat25.us. To register for the class the password is "arapahoe". Any questions ask Deputy Englert

*The March Madness Tournament of B O O K S in our library is running throughout March. Be a part of the Madness! Take the survey found in your LPS email each week through April 3rd. Remember there is a contest, for those who vote EACH week through April 4th, you will have a chance to win a $25 Tattered Cover Gift Card.

Athletics    

*The Garlic Knot Restaurant is hosting a pizza bar tonight from 5:00 to 8:30 to help raise money for our Arapahoe Baseball organization. It is all the pizza and soda you can eat and drink for $10 and 50% of all proceeds comes back to our baseball program. The address is 1621 W. Canal Circle, Littleton in the Westview Shopping Center off Mineral. You will love the pizza and we would love to see your face and would greatly appreciate your support.

*The Warrior Boys Lacrosse team opens their season Wednesday 3/13 with a game versus arch rival Heritage.  The game will be held at Englewood High School with the face off at 6 p.m.
