April 9, 2012

Announcements:

Thank you to all the students and staff who made Warrior Week a huge success. The CU Buffoons and Arapahoe Singers performed wonderfully and the Senior vs. Staff Basketball Game was also a tremendous success. This year we broke a record and raised over $15,200 to support kids with cancer and the Heroes Forever organization. Thank you faculty, student body, and student council for all of your hard work in making this year’s Warrior Week a record-breaking success.

This past Saturday at the Denver Coliseum, history was made for our Warrior Winter Guard. They placed 1st in both preliminaries and finals awarding them State Champion for the 3rd year in a row and their 4th championship since 2005!!! Arapahoe performed in the highest scholastic division, scoring an 88.5 and was ahead of 34 other scholastic units. Out of 52 total teams in the Rocky Mountain Colorguard Association, our girls had the 3rd highest score! Way to go Warriors!

Hey KeyClubbers, be sure to come to our next meeting today after school to hear information about elections for next year's officers. Elections will be on Monday the 16th. See you all there.

Attention members of National Honor Society. Our April meeting will be held after school on Wednesday, but we will meet in Room E-9, due to a Forum schedule conflict. See you there!
