office and sign up at the front desk.
The library will be closing today at
3:00. Please plan accordingly. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Starting today, the weight room will be open
after school on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2:30 - 4:00.
Welcome Back Warriors! It is time to get involved in after school
activities! For anyone interested in joining the Drama Club, there will
be two meetings coming up very soon. There will be a meeting for all
Freshman tomorrow, August 28th at 2:30. The first meeting for
all grades will be on Tuesday, September 4th at 2:30, which is the
day before auditions for this year's fall play, It's A Wonderful Life.
How do you define Muse?
A. A Greek goddess of inspiration?
B. To think, ponder, or wonder?
C. Arapahoe High School’s magazine of creative
arts?
D. All of the above?? YES!!
The MUSE is Arapahoe’s only magazine dedicated entirely to the
creative arts, created entirely by students. If you are interested
in being part of an amazing team who will build this year’s MUSE magazine from
scratch, mark your calendar for this Wednesday after school, in Room E-11 (in
the Art area), for our first meeting. This meeting is especially
important, as we’ll be talking about leadership positions. Don’t
miss your opportunity to join our creative work. Don’t wait;
do something cool this year & help us create our very own magazine,
Wednesday the 29th at 2:30 in E-11. Come check it
out!
FRESHMEN
GET INVOLVED. Come to a class meeting this Thursday, August 30th at 6:45am. We
will meet in Room S-9 to discuss the homecoming float. If you intend to run for
office, please make sure you come. If you are not able, please let Mrs. Lhotta
and Ms. Buchwald know.
Seniors! The yearbook deadline for your senior
photo and bio is Friday, Sept. 7. We will not use the student ID photo you took at
schedule pickup, so be sure to make arrangements to take a formal portrait. We
will have a professional photographer on campus this Wednesday, Thursday and
Friday. She will take your yearbook portrait for only $20. See Mr. Anderson in
the journalism Room E-8 for details.
Varsity Cheer Tryouts will be held on Saturday,
September 8th. Tryouts are open to all Arapahoe Sophomores, Juniors and
Seniors. Please see Mrs. Weems in the Athletic Office for the appropriate
registration forms.
Students
interested in purchasing a class ring: Order packets are available at the Front
desk and in Mrs. DeBow's office in the Guidance Center. Representatives from
Herff Jones will be in the Cafeteria during lunch times on Wednesday and
Thursday, Aug. 29th and 30th to take your order - they will be asking for an
$80 deposit at that time.
Any freshman student interested in helping with
the freshman class homecoming float, come to Room S9 today after school. If you are planning on running for freshman
class officer, make sure you attend this meeting.
Welcome freshmen Warriors! A great way to
get involved in your new school is Student Council, the student leadership
organization that runs school events like Homecoming, Warrior Week and Prom.
Interested in finding out more? Attend our general council meetings
Tuesday mornings in the forum at 6:45 a.m. where all students are welcome.
