*Warriors....UNIFIED Sports starts up this fall with Unified Kickball and Flag Football competitions. You’re invited to join UNIFIED.  Come to our interest meeting during Tribe TOMORROW, August 25th in room E1275.  Look for Mrs. Abner's name on the Tribe pull list to join us.  Learn about more ways you can Unify with UNIFIED!   If you have any questions, see Mrs. Abner.

*Hey Juniors and Seniors - University of Alaska and Mississippi State will be in the PSC tomorrow,  Seton Hall and Ole Miss on Thursday.  Next week, John Carroll University, Loyola Chicago, Davidson College, Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, Trinity University, San Diego State, Minnesota, and University of Kansas!  Sign up in Scoir (SCORE) or stop into S1401 for more details. 

*Warriors - grab your baguettes and berets, we are going to France! Get that iconic selfie with the Eiffel tower, create your own pastries alongside a french chef, visit an oyster farm on the seaside, take a river cruise through Paris and enjoy so much French culture along the way.  We will be having a Student/Parent French Trip Information Night on Wednesday, September 2 at 6:00pm in room W1287.  RSVP for the meeting through the QR codes on posters around the school.  See you there.

*Good Luck to our Boys Varsity Golf team TODAY against Cherry Creek @ Overland Golf Course. 

*Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Softball team as they picked up three wins over the weekend in the F.A.N.-tastic tournament in Fort Collins. They beat Legacy, Rocky Mountain, and Wellington, to improve their overall record to 6 wins and one loss on the season.  Both Varsity and JV are back in action TOMORROW at HOME  against Vista Ridge.  Come fill the seats and cheer them on!

*The Arapahoe Cross Country team competed in their first meet of the season this past Saturday.  Congratulations to the Varsity Girls who were 5th overall and the Boys who were 2nd place overall at the Cheyenne Mountain Stampede! Best of luck this coming weekend at the Cherry Creek Invite. 

*Attention Baseball players - Anyone interested in playing baseball for the Warriors next spring, there is a meeting this Wednesday, August 26th, in the Forum after school.  Fall Arapahoe athletes are excused but should see Coach Dollaghan.

Athletics

*Come out and cheer on your Girls Field Hockey teams TONIGHT as they take on Denver East at Centennial Stadium.  Varsity will play at 7:00pm after JV plays at 5:30pm.

*Let’s pack the stands for our Boys Soccer teams TONIGHT against the Fairview Knights at Fairview HS.  Varsity plays at 6:30pm after JV plays at 4:30pm.  C-team will play at HOME on the JV soccer field.

*Come out and get loud for our Girls Flag Football teams TOMORROW @ Littleton Stadium as they compete for the HAL Cup against our cross town rivals Heritage & Littleton starting at 8:00am.

*Come cheer on our Girls Volleyball teams TOMORROW @ HOME in the first tournament of the season.  Games will start at 8:00am.  

*Good luck to our Cross Country runners TOMORROW at the Cheyenne Mountain Stampede in Colorado Springs.

*Good luck to our Girls Softball teams TODAY as they take on Green Mountain Rams @ Green Mountain HS.  Varsity will play at 4:00pm followed by JV.  Both Varsity and JV softball have started the season with 2 wins. The Varsity team had the largest comeback in school history against Widefield on Saturday, winning 20-10 after trailing 9-0. They followed it up on Tuesday with a 9-8 win over Regis after trailing 6-0. 

*Welcome back Warriors! AHS Cheerleading is holding Fall Tryouts! Art Club is starting back up for the year and we will be meeting THIS THURSDAY, August 20th in room E1283 right after school until 4:30pm.  Come join us whether you’re an experienced artist or just looking for something creative to do after school. Bring your ideas, bring a friend, and come make some art!  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Hawthorne. 

*It’s time to SADDLE UP for Homecoming! Our Homecoming Parade is happening September 19th, and this year we’re going WILD WEST! We want to see our clubs and sports teams bring their best Wild West spirit to the parade! Whether you’re planning a decorated truck, wagon, float, or something completely outside the corral, we want you there!  What we need from you:  Sign up your club or team to participate; create a Wild West-themed parade entry, bring the school spirit and have some fun! Sign up by September 11th.  Let’s make this the biggest, most WILD Homecoming Parade yet!
