General Announcements
Are you a natural leader? Are you looking to be a part of a fantastic team, or even just meet new people? Then Student Council is the place for you. It’s a great way to get involved in all of the major happenings of Arapahoe and have a lot of fun at the same time. For those who want to have a voice and make a lasting impact on our school, we meet every Tuesday morning at 6:20 in the forum- breakfast is included!
Hello, Freshmen class of 2021! Are you interested in becoming a leader? Any freshman that is interested in becoming an officer for Student Council, come to the intent-to-run meeting on Tuesday the 29th at 6:45 in the morning in the forum or 2:30 in the afternoon in C1458! We’re excited to see you there!
Do you like singing today's hit music? Can you beatbox? If that sounds like you please come to an informational meeting Monday, right after school in the choir room for the A Cappella Club, Arapahoe High School's newest club.
Lost or misplaced your student ID? Please come the attendance office to see if it has been turned in, ID’s are required to enter the dance tonight!
Students if you have been assigned 3 in a locker, we have a few openings available. Please see Mrs. Arnold in the Main Office.
The weight room will be open after school on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2:30 till 4 for all students that want to workout.
A reminder, tonight is the AHS Back-to-School Dance in the Auxiliary Gymnasium. Tonight's dance is for AHS students only, and you will be required to have your student ID to get into the dance. The cost is $5/person and tickets will be sold at the door. Remember the LPS Dance Policy is enforced for all dances.
Athletics
Attention all boys interested in trying out for basketball this fall. Please stop by Coach Jansen's office in the men's PE office to pick up an open gym schedule. Go Warriors!
Boys lacrosse players - offseason fall playing opportunities can be found at boys.ahslax.org under team info. Sign up by September 7th.
Attention Baseball Players...if you are not participating in a fall sport, we will begin our off-season lifting program Monday August 28th at 2:30.
The boys tennis season kicked off with a match against Mt. Vista yesterday. The JV team played well, but ended up losing by a score of 7-12. The varsity team beat Mt. Vista by a score of 5-2. Congrats to Ryan Wood, Jacob Lobb, Ian Gienger and Jake Wilcox on their first varsity win.
Your Varsity Boys’ Soccer team won in overtime against Rangeview yesterday by a score of 3-2. A fine all around effort saw goals from Cameron Gail, Mitch Engermann, and Ben Davis. The JV squad tied their game against Rangeview 0-0. Way to go Warriors!
Girls’ Field Hockey teams played well against Grandview yesterday, Junior Varsity tied 1-1.
