Student Council would like to thank everyone who voted in the election last week for next year's Student Council officers. The results of the election are being shown on the TV monitors throughout the building. Congratulations to next year's officers!! Also, thanks again to ALL the candidates who ran and to those who voted. We are looking forward to another great year of student leadership at Arapahoe High School!
Students taking A.P. Language or A.P. Literature next year need to swing by the Language Arts office to pick up their summer reading assignments. The summer reading assignment is also available on the Language Arts page on the AHS website.
This Friday at 6:00 pm, come see the Improv Show in the theatre. There will be questions asked to the audience that the students will need to act out on stage. Come be an intricate part of the show, then stick around to see a wide range of spectacular performances by the Company class. Hope to see you this Friday at 6:00 pm.
Hey Warriors! This Wednesday from 4-6 pm the Color Guard is hosting a free clinic for all interested students. Please come and try it out. We will be on the Marching Band Field next to University Blvd. Wear athletic apparel and be prepared to be outside.
If you are a junior in National Honor Society, please attend our final and most important meeting of the year on May 16th. We will hold elections for next year's NHS officers right after school in the Forum. If you are interested in running for office, please prepare a short speech. See you there!
Do you love cars? Do you know someone who does? If so, come to the 2nd biannual AHS Charity Car Show! Mr. Hawthorne's fourth period “Cars & U.S. History” class is hosting this semester’s show in Arapahoe’s west parking lot this Saturday, May 12th from 9am to 12pm. All proceeds go to a good cause, including Children's Hospital.

TODAY, May 8th Arapahoe High School will be hosting a Job Fair in the Auxiliary Gym from 3-4:30pm with over 25 employers that are interested in hiring you. For more information about the job fair, please see Mr. Sawyer in the Business Department office.
Juniors! TOMORROW, PLC Wednesday, the Post Grad Center will host a one time college application preview session in the Forum from 7-8 AM. In exchange for one hour of sleep, you will receive tips on how to prepare for the college application season - specifically Naviance, the Common Application, and scholarship timelines. Please RSVP using the google form sent to your school email address OR through the link in the May Drumbeat.
The ABK playoffs begin this week with ABK taking on Monarch tonight at 7 pm at the LPS Stadium. Let's fill the stands and make some noise for our Lady Warriors!
The JV Lacrosse team ended their season on Saturday with a big win against Mountain Vista. Congrats to all the players on a great season.
The girls tennis team competed in regionals last week and qualified 10 players for the state tournament. Congrats to Kaylee Whitehouse and Solana Williams who placed first at their doubles position. All of the qualifiers will compete in the state tournament Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at Gates Tennis Center.
LPS/Heritage High School Girls Gymnastics: Any girl gymnast or parent who would to like get more information about being a part of the Heritage/LPS High School Girls Gymnastics Team, which is made up of students from Arapahoe, Littleton, and Heritage High Schools should stop by the Athletic Office and add your info to the sign up sheet by Friday May 11th.
