General Announcements
* Leadership! ...Arapahoe! ....Your School! ...Your Community,.... Opportunities! .......Student Council represents all of this and we would love to have your involvement. All students are invited to attend STUCO meetings on Tuesdays at 7:15am in the Forum. Anyone interested in applying to become a Student Council Ambassador must complete an application by this Friday, Aug. 30th. Applications can be found in the activities office or on the Student Council website.
*Attention Chromebook Users! If you would like to check out a yearly Chromebook to take home this year, or retrieve the Chromebook you had checked out last year, you must do so by the end of the school day on Friday, August 30. Any other Chromebook issues, please see Mrs. Pohl in the library.
*Are you a freshmen or new student who’s interested in joining drama club? Then come to the Theatre right after school today to learn more about all the drama club has to offer. Hope to see you there!
*Free Alive @ 25 class Tuesday September 10th at 3:45pm - 8:15pm in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee. If you are 15 1/2 you can get drivers permit after taking the class and many insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line at www.aliveat25.us. The password is "arapahoe". Any questions ask Deputy Englert.
Athletics
*Tonight the LPS Girls Gymnastics Team is hosting a fundraiser at Larkburger from 4-7:30 PM! 25% of the proceeds benefit the Gymnastics Team. Remember to mention LPS Girls Gymnastics when you're ordering your tasty burger!
*The Arapahoe Boys Varsity Soccer team plays George Washington High School at 6:30 PM tonight at Littleton Public Schools Stadium. The Arapahoe Junior Varsity plays the George Washington JV team on the Arapahoe south soccer field at 4:30 PM. Come cheer on your Warriors!
*Attention! Your volleyball team will be in ACTION TONIGHT at home versus Douglas County! First match of the season!!!Frosh and Sophomores at 4:00 PM, JV at 5:00 PM and Varsity at 6:30 PM. The team is starting a new tradition for our student section. We are creating THE BALLHEADS! Old volleyballs have been cut out and decorated by the AHS VB TEAM! It will be awesome! First-come, first-served! Managers will be passing these out prior to the VARSITY MATCH! Let’s PACK THE Gym TOMORROW NIGHT! Go Warriors!!!
*The Varsity softball team picked up another win yesterday against Ponderosa. The team also added another homerun to the wall...that’s 9 total homeruns in 5 games. Next up is a home game against Regis on Wednesday. Game time is 4:30. Come out to the softball field and watch some Great softball while cheering on your Lady Warriors
*Attention Boys Lacrosse Players, if you would like to participate in the fall league starting in September please email Coach Bobzien by this Friday, August 30th. Details on the league and his email can be found on the boys lacrosse page on the AHS athletics website.
