*WARRIOR WEEK THANK YOU! Hello Warriors! A very big thank you to each of you for supporting our first ever Virtual Warrior Week. Thank you for the small things and the big things and the everythings in between. We are so proud of our community for coming together in unique ways to grant Michael his wish and to reach beyond our goal. We will grant a few more wishes in addition to Michael’s with our total of $21,809! Enjoy this recap video and a special thank you from Michael at the end.
With tremendous gratitude,

*Student Council Officer Elections are coming up very soon. This week students running for 2020-21 Executive Student Body Office positions are campaigning via social media and all students will have an opportunity to vote for next year's Student Body Officer positions on Monday, April 27th. Check your emails for the voting forms.
Students interested in running for Class Office positions must complete an application and interview. Applications are available on the Student Council website. Students are eligible to run if they have been a class ambassador or held an office position in the last year. Class office elections will take place on May 4th.  Email Mrs. Abner (kabner@lps.k12.co.us.) or Ms. Price (jprice@lps.k12.co.us) if you have any questions.

*Interested in sharing your art talents? Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital is becoming a COVID treatment center in Denver. Their doctors, nurses, and health care staff are working so hard to keep Coloradans safe and healthy. They reached out and shared this: "We would love to see some happy and fun artwork from your students and families to cheer the unit up. We would like to decorate the whole unit with colorful pieces of art and positive thoughts for the staff and our patients."

Stress relief for you and positive thoughts for them, win-win! Here are some free printable Thank you coloring cards that might be fun. Or create your own original artwork! All artwork can be mailed to: Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center, Attn: Donielle Robertson, 1719 E 19th Ave, Denver, CO 80218

Their project is based on raising appreciation for the custodial staff and everything that they do for us at AHS, not just during this crisis, but during the entire school year. As part of the project they want to represent the community's appreciation and are compiling a video of people in the community saying thank you. They would really appreciate it if you participated.
