 General Announcements

*Warriors, start your engines!  Join us for the 9th Annual AHS Charity Car Show TOMORROW 3rd, from 9:00am -noon in the east parking lot. It will be an excellent day to come check out some amazing rides and help a great cause—all proceeds support the AHS Holiday Toy Drive and future shows.  Suggested entry per car is $5.  Spread the word to your friends, family, and neighbors. See  you there!! 


*Seniors! Senior Yearbook photos are due Friday, October 9th. Head to @ahscalumetyearbook on Instagram for submission instructions. No late photos will be accepted. 


*Warriors - please remember if you are parked on campus you MUST have a current parking permit. If you need a permit, please go to the AHS website, fill out the Google form, pay and then see any of the DSO's at the security desks. Cars parked in the lot without a permit WILL be ticketed.  


*Juniors and Seniors, TODAY the PSC is hosting Providence College, Vanderbilt University, and Villanova.  Sign up in Scoir!  (SCORE)

*Do you need some help with your classes, well NHS is here to help!  Peer tutors are here to help during, before and after school.  Use or scan the QR code on flyers throughout the school and you will be connected with a tutor.

*WARRIORS - we need YOU to sign up for the LPS Stride on Sunday, October 25th.  This is a chance for you to walk, trot, jog or run in this wonderful community event and do something with your friends and family.  Help us represent and give ARAPAHOE a chance to earn $1000 for our health and wellness initiatives by choosing Arapahoe on the registration page.  We have not won the participation award in a very long time. This is the year to show up!!  



Athletics

*Congratulations to Boys Golf for qualifying for the CHSAA 5A State Championships on  Monday and Tuesday next week at Columbine Country Club.  The Boys Golf team is currently ranked at the top of 5A Golf.  Good luck and bring home a State Championship! 

*Good Luck to our Warrior Varsity Boys Football team TONIGHT against Cherry Creek.

*Good Luck to our Girls Flag Football teams TONIGHT @ Centennial Stadium.  Varsity will play at 7:00pm following JV @ 5:30pm.  The teams are playing Ralston Valley.

*Good luck to our Cross Country runners TOMORROW at the Pat Patten Invitational in Boulder.

*Did you know that the Arapahoe Girls swimming & diving team supports all AHS students & athletes and wants nothing more than for the football team to crush Creek tonight?  Our Warrior pride runs deep and is on display at all of our swim meets, practices, and team functions! And we have FIRE team swag!! Our preseason meeting for all interested athletes and their parents is Tuesday, October 6th at 6:30pm in the Forum. We will be having a team ‘Meet & Greet’ this Saturday at noon at the Varsity Inn! Free pizza!!

*Warriors, Come join us for lunch TODAY as we celebrate October Count day.   Every lunch gets a FREE COOKIE! 

*Warriors - have you filled out your FBLA Membership form yet? It's due October 23rd so don't miss out on all the fun we have planned this year! If you're not in Google Classroom or have any questions, find Mr. Wolsky or Ms. Pettee in the business office! Join today and start Your Climb to Success.

*The Morgan’s Message Club is a club dedicated to athlete mental health.  They will be having a meeting TOMORROW at 7:30am in room S1414 with donuts provided! Everyone is welcome to come, so make sure to stop by and join us! We hope to see you there! 


*Calling all students who were not able to attend the Academic Letter ceremony, please stop by and see Ms. Berry in the Main Office to pick up your packet TODAY or TOMORROW.

*Come get loud for your Girls Volleyball teams TONIGHT against Grandview.  Morgan’s Message will be hosting a Dedication Game for it so come as we join together to support student-athlete mental health.  Also, come help us celebrate our AMAZING SENIORS!  Varsity will play at 6:30pm after JV plays at 5:00 in Sitting Eagle Gymnasium.  The Freshman team will play at 5:30pm following the Sophomore game at 4:30pm.


*Let’s pack the stands for our Boys Soccer teams TONIGHT at Centennial Stadium against Overland.  Varsity will play at 7:00pm following the JV game at 5:30pm.  


*Come cheer on your Boys JV (7:00pm) and Freshman (5:30pm) Football teams TONIGHT against Cherry Creek at Cherry Creek turf field.  


*Get ready for the Boys Varsity Football game TOMORROW against Cherry Creek at the Stutler Bowl @ 7:00pm. Cherry Creek is expecting a sold out crowd for their Homecoming game so please buy your tickets for the game sooner than later at GoFan.co.


*Did you know that Girls Swimming & Diving is a no-cut, winter sport at Arapahoe and that over 80 girls were on the team last year?  It is a fun sport that welcomes all levels of swimmers and divers… “from novice to nationals”!  Come to our Girls Swim and Dive ‘Meet and Greet’ on Saturday, October 3rd at the Varsity Inn at noon.  Everyone is welcome & FREE pizza.  Plan to attend our preseason meeting for all interested athletes and parents on Tuesday, October 6th at 6:30pm in the Forum.
