Attention Dodgeballers! All 20 spots for the DECA Dodgeball tournament have been filled! That means we are not accepting anymore registration packets. If your team didn't make it into the tournament, you should still come out and support your peers. Besides, what's better than seeing some of your favorite teachers get nailed by a dodgeball? Attention all juniors and sophomores: Are you ready for college? Please come to the Guidance Office to sign up for the PSAT exam. The test is Wednesday morning from 7:30-10:30 on October 17th, so you will not miss any classes. The cost is $20.00. The last day to sign up is Friday October 12th.
Your Warrior Marching Band will be competing in the Annual Pomona Marching Festival at Jeffco’s NAAC Stadium tomorrow. Come on out and cheer on your band at their 2 performance times: 3:45pm for prelims, and between 6:45 and 9:30pm for their finals performance. Go Warrior Band!!
The Dry Creek Dixie Dawgs will be performing in Sutton’s 8th Annual Rocky Mountain Jazz Party on Sunday. The combo performs a 20 minute set at noon. This will take place at the 4 Points by Sheraton, I-25 and Hampden.

The boys Varsity soccer team defeated Rock Canyon yesterday 2 – 0. The boys will be playing Gateway today at 4:00 here at AHS.
Congratulations to the sophomore volleyball team for their impressive win against Rock Canyon last night. The team won in two games and have won 5 of their last 6 matches. Keep it going

Congratulations to the Freshmen Black Volleyball team for the win last night over Rock Canyon. The girls played hard and won 25-17, 25-16.

Congratulations to golfers Steven Moore, David Holtgrewe, Dalton Becky, and Brian Zenk who finished in 3rd place at the state tournament in Fort Collins on Monday and Tuesday. David Holtgrewe finished in 8th place individually. Steven Moore was in 4th place individually after the first day with a 71, but was injured and had to withdraw the second day. Steven, David and Dalton have led the team to 3rd place finishes the last two years at state. Also congratulations to golfers David Perry, Adam Johnson, and Austin Wertz who led the team to 1st place out of 14 JV teams at Red Hawk Ridge last week.
Congratulations to the girls JV softball for defeating Rangeview last night by a score of 25 to 4. Come out to the softball field on Friday at 4:00 pm to support the JV softball team in their final game of the season. Good Luck Ladies!

Congratulations to the Freshman football team for their 14-7 hard fought victory Saturday over Highlands Ranch. The Freshman are currently undefeated at 5-0 and will be playing Mountain Vista on Saturday at 9:00 AM here at AHS. Come out and help push us to a 6-0 record!

Attention Dodgeball Teams. Friday, Oct. 5th is the last day to turn in a completed registration packet. But remember, First come, First serve. We only have a few spots left. Completed packets can be turned into the Business Office.
If you know the five D's of dodgeball: "Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive, and Dodge" then you would make a great announcer for the 2007 AHS DECA Dodgeball Tournament. We will be holding announcer tryouts on Thursday, Oct. 4th at 2:30 pm in room S1. So "take a break from that fine lead-based paint" and come try out to be an announcer for one of this year's most exciting events
Athletics
Congratulations to the Freshman football team for their 14-7 hard fought victory Saturday over Highlands Ranch. The Freshman are currently undefeated at 5-0 and will be playing Mountain Vista on Saturday at 9:00 AM here at AHS. Come out and help push us to a 6-0 record!

Attention skiers and snowboarders. There is a new club here at Arapahoe just for you! Come to the first meeting on Wednesday, October 3rd in the Forum. We will be planning the upcoming ski season and watching ski videos. That’s Wednesday, Oct 3rd in the Forum
