General Announcements

It’s time to brush up your Shakespeare! Tickets for A Midsummer Night’s Dream go on sale this Wednesday during lunches. Tickets are $5.00, and the show dates are February 3rd, 4th, and 5th. All tickets are reserved seating. Come see this unforgettable production!

Hey Seniors, the NCAA Signing Day is coming up next Wednesday, February 2nd. The Athletic Department will be hosting a ceremony during lunch for all scholar-athletes who will be signing their letters of intent that day. Please let the Athletic Office know if you will be participating in the ceremony by this Friday. See Mr. Sisler if you have any questions. Go Warriors!

Attention all FCCLA Members: We will be having a very important mandatory meeting after school this Thursday in room E2. Anyone planning to attend district and state conferences must attend! We will also be talking about our safe driving campaign, cupcake wars, and conferences. See you there FCCLA!!!

Attention all Juniors and Seniors: Have you ever wanted to strut your stuff on the catwalk? Well, now’s your chance. We need models for the 2011 Prom Fashion Show. All interested guys and girls can pick up an application in the Business Office starting today and for the rest of the week.

The lady warriors will be in action Wednesday night at home against Eaglecrest High School, JV at 5:30 and Varsity at 7pm. Come out and support your Lady Warriors!

Our Ladies will also try to bring home another win on Friday, Jan. 28 during their away game against Cherokee Trail; JV plays at 5:30 and Varsity at 7:00, don't miss it!"

Attention all boys swimmers and divers. We will have a mandatory meeting today right after school at 2:25 in the pool. Please wear your AHS Swim and Dive Shirt and Jacket as there is an AHS Girls Swim Meet that night against Cherry Creek. The meet will start at 4:30 PM

Attention all Lady Golfers or interested golfers! The Registration meeting will take place on Thursday, Jan 27th at 6pm in the Forum. All interested players must attend this golf registration meeting with a parent. Please meet in the Forum on Jan. 27th at 6pm. See Coach Wilson in the Math office if you have a conflict.

AHS Girls Lacrosse will hold another informational meeting Wednesday, Jan 26 from 7-8pm in room E-9. This meeting is for all girls interested in playing lacrosse this Spring, but missed our October info night. We will discuss how our program works and answer questions. Please plan on attending if you missed the first meeting and want to know more about our program.

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Basketball Team for their convincing win against Overland 62-38 Friday night here at AHS. The win moves the teams league record to 6 and 1 and puts them tied for 1st place in the Centennial league. JV defeated Overland 56-20. Great job Ladies. All of the lady warriors will be in action this Wednesday night at home against Eaglecrest High School, JV at 5:30 and Varsity at 7pm. Come out and support your Lady Warriors!

Congratulations to the Girls' Sophomore team as they continued their winning streak against Overland High School. They won 52-12. This moves the Sophomore team record to 12 and 0. Great job ladies!

Congratulations to the Freshmen Lady Warriors Basketball team for a 62-19 win over Overland on Friday night here at AHS. Great job Ladies!

Hello Arapahoe Ladies! It’s your turn!!! It’s time for the 2011 Arapahoe High School Winter Dance where the girls ask the guys! “A Night in Lights” will be held Saturday, January 22nd from 7-10 p.m. in the AHS Cafeteria. Tickets are on sale during both lunches. The cost is $10 per person in advance and will go up to $15 per person at the door. The dress is semi formal, and we have acquired the awesome DJ from last spring’s Prom!!!! So don’t wait to ask that special someone to “A Night in Lights”.

Congratulations to Chess club on their 5-3 win in their match yesterday against Chatfield High School. Way to go!

General Announcements

This afternoon, former Mayor of Selma Alabama, James Perkins will be speaking to students in the forum beginning at 2:30. Mayor Perkins is the first and only African-American to be elected to that position in Selma, (2000-2008 ). This opportunity has come about through the efforts of former AHS student Gwen Brown. Gwen is currently working in Selma with the Freedom Foundation attempting to improve the economic, social, educational and political status of the underprivileged in that area. All students are encouraged to attend.

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Basketball team for their exciting win last night over Cherry Creek 45-43. The win moves your Lady Warriors into second place in the Centennial League with a 4 and 1 league record.

Congratulations are in order for the JV Lady Warriors too. Although they finished the game with a loss of 50-51, they played a fantastic game and are sure to bring home a victory the next time we face Cherry Creek!

Congratulations to the girls' sophomore basketball team as they continued their winning ways with a great win over Cherry Creek last night 42-27. Go Lady Warriors!

Congratulations to Lady Freshman Basketball Warriors for defeating Cherry Creek last night 40-17. Great job ladies.

The Lady Warriors will play here at AHS tomorrow night against Overland JV at 5:30 and Varsity at 7:00. Come out and support the team and catch some "hoop fever".

There will be a short informational meeting followed by registration and equipment orders. Swimmers, divers and their parents should plan to attend. All returning team members should receive registration documents by email prior to the registration night.
