General Announcements


Students who are participating in extracurricular activities after school should be aware that all exterior doors, except the East, West and North cafeteria doors will be locked at 3:30 pm.
All students must have their ID’s at all times during the school day and at all school events.

Hey Students!!  Did you have a blast at Homecoming?  Weren’t the decorations awesome?  We would like to thank STUCO and Link Crew kids for their efforts.  A special thank you goes out to Cynthia Bastron for all of her time spent on decorations.  You Rock!

You can register for the PSAT in the guidance office today and tomorrow.  The cost for the test is $20.00 and is payable at the time you register.  The test is at Arapahoe on Saturday, October 15th.

For a listing of college reps at AHS this week, please see the college calendar in the Guidance Center or the white board outside Guidance for the schedule. Interested students please sign up to meet with the rep of your choice.  Hastings College;  Denison University;  St. Lawrence University Presidential Scholars Program.  

Rebel Without a Cause tickets on sale during lunch.  Show dates are Oct. 13, 14 and 15 at 7:00 pm. Don't miss it.

The total for Katrina Week was $ 8582.04?  The donations will go to the Red Cross or Salvation Army.

Attention Chess Players! Chess practice will be held today in the Enrichment Room after school from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Congratulations to all members of the Warrior Marching Band for placing first in 5A for the 3rd week in a row!!  This event was the Douglas County Marching Invitational on Saturday.   Arapahoe also placed 2nd overall out of 23 competing bands.  The Warrior Band placed first in every music average, visual average, and general effect total 5A caption.  The Arapahoe Color Guard placed first, and the Percussion Section placed 2nd in 5A competition.  Way to go Warrior Band!!!!!

Good luck to all members of the Warrior Marching Band at today's Metro State Qualifying Marching Band Festival.  Tonight's performance seeds most of the 5A bands for next Sunday's State Marching Band Championships.  Arapahoe performs at LPS Stadium tonight at 7:30pm.  Good luck Warrior Band!!!!

Calling all Muse members!  Two weeks have slithered away and it's time to meet again and share snacks and do some writing!   We missed some of you at our last meeting, but look forward to seeing EVERYONE in our lovely C-17, Wednesday after school!  Don't snooze, do the Muse!

Hey Guys, it’s time for another CSJC meeting, or community service just ‘cause.  The holidays are coming up quickly and we have a lot to do to get ready and plan for before then.  Our meeting will be right after school in Room C-19 this Thursday.  See you there, and remember, it’s not too late to join.


Attention Biology Students!
Because of the power outage yesterday, we have re-scheduled make-up lab for tomorrow, Wednesday, immediately after school.  If you need to finish up a test or missed lab completely, please head to W205 after school tomorrow!

Attention:  Those who are taking the ACT Test Prep course through RMASS , which was cancelled yesterday, the class will meet as scheduled today.  The second half the class will be next Tuesday, October 18.

Athletics-    

The Boys Varsity soccer team defeated Littleton on Saturday by a score of 3 – 0. Chris Madigan scored two goals and Will Kingery tallied one. Assists were given by Taylor Habig and Joey Madigan.

The freshman football team beat Lewis-Palmer on Saturday 28-10.  Scoring for the Warriors were Jade Buresh with two touchdowns, Gator Belland and Devin Eppers with one apiece.  It was a great overall team effort!

JV Softball:
Just a reminder to turn in your uniform by this Friday to Ms Mastropietro.  

Attention all boy’s interested in swimming and diving. There will be a very important meeting Wednesday Oct 12th. Please meet in the Forum at 2:20 PM. We need to confirm your interest and secure addresses especially for all freshman. 

Winter Sports Registration is today and Wednesday at 2:30 in Room S3.  If you are interested in playing a winter sport you must register.  Please stop by the Athletic Office for registration forms, you need them.

Attention all varsity softball players. We will meet in room N-5 immediately after school today.

Boys Varsity Soccer for today will be played at Thunder Ridge High School. Please be at the circle drive at 2:40 today to catch your bus.

The JV Soccer game is cancelled for today.

Due to change in soccer for today, JV cheerleading will be cancelled.  Varsity will practice in the upper gym at 2:30.

Today’s varsity soccer match v. Thunder Ridge High School will be played at Thunder Ridge, not at Arapahoe.  The JV contest has been cancelled and will be rescheduled at a later date.
