General Announcements

The after prom drink drop off will begins April 27th. Please bring them into the main office. Food drop off will be Friday May 4th from 4pm to 8pm, and Saturday 9am-12pm, and 9pm to 11pm. Please take the food to the cafeteria. Please contribute lots and often. After prom tickets will go on sale April 27th, for $10 each.

ATTENTION WARRIORS! – THIS IS AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING REGISTRATION & SCHEDULING PAPERWORK FOR NEXT YEAR’S SCHEDULE. AN ADDENDUM PAGE CONTAINING ADDITIONS, CHANGES & CORRECTIONS TO THE 2007-2008 SCHEDULE WILL BE HANDED OUT IN CLASSES ON MONDAY. YOU WILL NOW HAVE UNTIL THURSDAY, APRIL 26TH TO TURN IN YOUR REGISTRATION CARDS TO YOUR COUNSELORS. DON’T FORGET TO GET TEACHER’S SIGNATURES WHERE NEEDED BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR CARDS.

Hey Warriors…lunch today is your last opportunity to donate money in a teacher’s name to see them get a pie in their face and to buy a ticket for the opportunity to be the one to pie the teacher. The competition is close so get your money in!!! Berthold, Korn, Crookham, Hess, Serniak…BEWARE!!

Time is running out. Don't miss your chance! Raffle ticket sales for the "Prom Package" which includes a limo for $6 will continue through today in the cafeteria during both lunches. Tickets are $3 each or 4 for $10. Good Luck!

IT’S HERE! The moment you’ve all been waiting for! Applications to work in the DECA store are available NOW! Stop by the DECA store or the Business office to pick up your application to work in the DECA store either in the Fall or Spring semester of next year.

Attention future AP Science Students: You will need to come to the science office and pick up a blue application form in order to be considered for any AP Science course. This needs to be done for each AP Science course that you are applying for and the application is due by April 25th.

Important information for seniors! Applications for Business Certificates of Proficiency are now available in the Business Dept. Be sure to stop by and pick one up if you don't have a business class this semester. Applications are due April 30th and certificates will be distributed the first week of May. Don't miss out on this special recognition of all your hard work!

Thank you to all the participants who tried out for this year’s Prom Talent Show. Everyone exhibited great talent and enthusiasm. The following acts will be appearing in this year’s Prom Talent Show on Thursday, April 26. Everyone in the show must see Mr. Boehm or Ms. Gerlich immediately to sign a Participant Contract. Katie Grauel, Morgan White and Ryan Stitzel, Nicole Elliot and Jessie Woodland, Jimmy Neenan, Kaia Nutting, Cameron Weber, Nick Sullivan, Bobblehead Buddha, Sarah Geist and Justin Dyer. Special Appearances: Ilene Yang & Cody Scott.

Attention Arapahoe Students! Monday, April 23rd, Amnesty International will be hosting a film screening and a speaker on the future of Democracy in Afghanistan. The event is at 6:30 in the AHS theatre and it is free, so bring your parents and friends and learn something new.

Sophomores and juniors: Plan to attend the spring Denver College Fair. It will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2007 from 1pm to 4pm at the University of Denver Richie Center (located in the Gates Field House on the south side of the Richie Center). Approximately 180 colleges and universities participate. It is a great chance to meet college representatives and get lots of information.

Come out and support your AHS Track and Field Team today, April 20th 5pm-9pm @ Noodles & Company on University at Highlands Ranch Parkway. Noodles will donate 20% of all sales during those hours to the AHS Track and Field Team! Go Warriors!

Hey AHS students, do you want to see your school's talent unmasked? Do you want to see prom royalty unveiled? Ticket sales for the prom talent show begin Monday, April 23. Tickets for the 5pm and the 7:30pm shows will be sold during both lunches through Thursday, April 26, for $5.00 each.

Attention all students who applied to become LINK CREW leaders. Check the bulletin board across from the Library and English Office or the LINK CREW webpage to view the 2007-2008 LINK CREW leader list. Be sure to record the important listed dates, and we sincerely thank all who applied.

Athletics

The Warriors swim and dive team had a tough loss last night against Heritage High School. Event winners included; Ian Francis in the 100 breast, Eric Wallace in diving, Brian Krump in the 100 fly, and Ian Francis, Brian Krump, Kieran McGuire and Skyler Schaffer in the 200 freestyle relay.

Your amazing girl’s varsity tennis team defeated Chaparral last night by a score of 7-0. The varsity team improved their record to 7 wins and only 2 losses. Congratulations girls! Come out to the Arapahoe courts on Monday to cheer on your Warriors as the go up against Regis.

Congratulations to the JV Gold tennis team, who defeated Chaparral 10-3 yesterday. JV Gold also defeated Golden earlier in the week. Their team record is now 10-0.

Attention Arapahoe Lacrosse Fans!! Look no further.....your Friday night is saved!!! Arapahoe's undefeated Varsity 1 Boys Lacrosse team will take on Heritage again tonight. It's time for the first game of the Continental League Playoffs!! Come on out to LPS at 7:30 pm to cheer on your favorite team towards another victory over Heritage. Go Warriors!!!

The JV girl’s lacrosse team had another win Wednesday night. The wind was whipping everyone around, but the Warriors stayed tough and ended with a 5-4 win against Chaparral. Scoring for JV was: Allee Day; 3 Goals, Katherine Igoe; 1 Goal 1 Assist, and Leanne Cheung with 1 Goal. Goalie Julia Baker had at least 10 saves. Keep up the good work ladies and be ready to have another win against Kent on Monday.
