Announcements:
Yearbook
distribution will take place TODAY from 2:20 to 3:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. You must have some sort of photo ID to pick
up your yearbook. This can be your driver’s license, student ID or printout
from Infinite Campus. If you are
not sure whether you purchased a yearbook, please check your fee receipt in
Infinite Campus or check with Mr. Anderson, the yearbook adviser, or with Ms.
Cheney, the bookkeeper. We will have a
limited number of extra yearbooks for sale for $80 payable to AHS. You may not pick up books for friends
or siblings. Beginning
Tuesday, May 8, books will be distributed during both lunches in the cafeteria. Yearbooks must be picked up by Friday, May 11
in order to get the yearbooks cleared before final exams.
Attention Upcoming Graduates: If you have a name that is hard to pronounce
or is different than the norm, please see Mrs. Bradley if your last name begins
with L through the end of the alphabet and Mr. Jansen if your last name begins
with A-K. Fill out an index card stating how your name is pronounced
phonetically and give it to them asap. This includes students Bradley and
Jansen currently have in class. They can be found in the PE area.
All purchases in the cafe through the
end of the year must be with money from your account or with cash. Charging will not be permitted through the
month of May. Thank you for your
cooperation.
Key Club last meeting of the year will
be tomorrow in Room C16, NOT today.
A huge thank you goes out to the
Arapahoe TSA community service crew of Nick Sabo and Sean Fritter, who cleaned
up TSA's one mile "adopt a highway" stretch of Broadway on Friday by
themselves! Great job guys!
Athletics:
Attention Seniors! A Late Signing Day Ceremony will be held at
Arapahoe on Wednesday, May 9th. If you
have made a commitment to compete in athletics on the college level this fall
please stop by the Athletic Office and see Mr. Sisler or Mrs. Weems.
Congratulations to the
Girls' Varsity Lacrosse team for bringing home the 3 Sisters Trophy Friday
night. After a three-year drought, the team
won back the coveted award, which represents the friendship and rivalry between
Arapahoe, Heritage and Littleton girls lacrosse. On a night honoring our senior players, the
Warriors dominated the game and were victorious with a final score of 18-10.
Way to go Warriors.
Attention all cross
country and distance runners, or others who are interested in building their
running endurance. Come to the Summer
Running Club informational meeting tomorrow at the beginning of your 4th hour lunch period outside at the
baseball bleachers. If you are interested but unable to attend, please see
Coach Lutz or the cross country website for registration materials.
Congratulations to the
Sophomore baseball team for a 12 to 1 win over Eaglecrest! Freshmen baseball
beat Eaglecrest 21 to 9 on Friday. Way to go Warriors! Even though regular season is now over,
summer ball begins at the end of May. Check the website for schedules soon to
be posted and come on by for a home game or two.
Concessions will be open.
Baseball makes for a fun day in the sun!
Attention girls JV soccer
players. We will be checking in uniforms this Tuesday at 2:30 in room C-7. Make
sure you bring everything. This meeting is mandatory.
