Athletics:
A huge
"Congratulations!" goes out to the Girls' Varsity Lacrosse team in
their victory over Palmer Ridge last night in Round 2 of the playoffs. The game was a nail biter, with the two
different teams taking the lead, and being tied at different times throughout
the game. The Warriors took control at the end and hung on, beating the 10th
ranked Bears 16 - 14. Eight different
girls scored goals, led by Allie Camp, Molly O'Donnell and Isley Walker with 3
each. Kate Englert led the team in points,
with 2 goals and 3 assists. On the
defensive side of the ball, goalie Brooke Engel racked up 10 amazing
saves. Defenders contributed with great
coverage over the Bears' offense, and Lindsay Sugo and Hope Swearingen each
tallied 5 draw and ground ball controls.
Now on to Round 3 next week. Keep
the victories coming, Warriors!
