The
Speech and Debate Team practices today after school in C15. Members competing in an October or November
tournament should plan to be there.
Hey
Warriors! This week is Safe Schools Week. Every day this week the
You Matter Club will have a table set up near the guidance center. Please
stop by, pick up a bracelet and sign the pledge to keep Arapahoe safe. We will
be building a chain to represent unity among students and it will be put on
display around the cafeteria this Friday. Tomorrow be sure to wear yellow
in support of Safe Schools Week and You Matter. If you are interested in
participating in the Safe Schools Week games be sure to stop by the table and
get signed up! Remember Arapahoe, YOU MATTER!
Hey Arapahoe! Do you like those big fat juicy burritos at
Chipotle across the street? The Muse is having a special
drawing! If you submit a story, poem or artwork to the Muse ANY DAY
THIS WEEK, your name will be entered into a drawing for a free
$10 Chipotle gift card! That's right, $10 worth of

Attention
Dodgeball Players: All players must attend a MANDATORY rules meeting
before the tournament. There will be a meeting today at 5:15 in the Forum.
There will also be a meeting tomorrow at 2:30 in the Forum. Every player
on your team must attend one of these rules meeting. Attendance will be taken
at the meeting. If you do not attend one of these meetings, you will not be
allowed to play in the tournament.
We are excited to see everybody at the next TSA meeting tomorrow @ 2:25- 3:00 in Room E10.
If you are interested in web design, CO2 dragsters, rubberband airplanes and
cars, digital photography, CAD, bridge building, public speaking and debate,
then this club is for YOU! This will be the first club fee turn-in date.
If you plan on attending the TSA leadership conference, your forms and
money are due also. Hope to see you Wednesday!
The greatest meeting of your life is
approaching this Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the legendary Room E9. Come
experience the epicness of FBLA and learn how to get involved with the amazing
event of Trick or Treat Street.
Reminder
for seniors applying to University of Wyoming . . . stop in the Post Grad
Center and sign up for a time to meet with the University of Wyoming rep for an
application day. Juniors and
seniors: Please check the college visit list on Naviance for recent additions.
CU Boulder is visiting tomorrow at 10 a.m.
Colorado State University is visiting on Thursday, November 1st at 9
a.m. Both visits will be held in the Forum.
Attention
Juniors and Seniors! A representative will be here this Friday for anyone interested in taking concurrent
enrollment classes at Arapahoe Community College for 2nd Semester. This
is a great chance to receive high school AND college credit. If interested,
please plan on attending a short meeting during either 1st or 2nd lunch
in the FORUM to receive more information and paperwork. Sophomores, don’t forget about the
opportunity to take the PLAN, a practice ACT test, on Saturday, November 3rd!
Register in the Guidance Office now through Monday, October 29. The cost is
$12.
Did your
order a yearbook? Do have a library fine? Lists are posted on the
bulletin board by the bookkeeper's office. Yearbooks are $65 and may be
ordered until November 16, so check the list and make sure you are set to get
yours!
Once again it’s time for the annual Halloween Candy Jar Count in
the Library!! Starting tomorrow, October 24rd come down
to the library and guess how many Halloween candies are in the glass jar!
The student who comes the closest to the actual amount …. will win the
jar full of candy! Only one guess per day. The winner will be announced on Halloween
during the daily announcements. Happy

Hey Warriors, stop by the Attendance Office or
the DECA Store and drop off your idea for the Prom theme this year. The idea
box will be in both locations for the next two weeks so stop by and give us
your input.
The Stride is right around the corner.
Registration online is still open at www.runthestride.com. And you can also register at any Boulder Running Company or
Runners Roost by Wed. Oct. 24th. For those late decision makers you can roll
out of bed on Sunday Oct. 28th and register on site. We hope to see you at
Ketring Park for The Stride on Sunday.
Attention Warriors! The 2012/2013
Arapahoe Winter Guard would like to invite any newly interested students to
come to an informational meeting on Monday, October 29th from 7-8 p.m. in
the AHS band room. The Arapahoe Winter Guard is a four time State
Champion team and will be returning to National Competition this year!
Please attend the meeting with one parent or guardian if interested. See
you Monday!
Athletics
Arapahoe, the Warrior Football team will face
Chatfield this Friday at Littleton Stadium for the Super 6 League Championship.
Let's fill up the stadium and Black Out Chatfield. Be the Warriors 12th Player,
be loud and wear Black. Following the game, Qdoba at SouthGlenn will be
having the final 5th Quarter Party of the Year. Go Warriors!
Winter Sports Registration is coming!
Girls Swim/Dive on Tuesday, October 30th, boys and girls basketball on
Thursday, November 1st and wrestling will take place on Friday, November
2nd. Please bring your completed paperwork to the cafeteria between
10:30 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. during one of these three days. Required
paperwork can be picked up in the Athletic Office or online at www.ahswarriors.org.
Do not delay your registration or it will hinder your participation in
tryouts beginning on Friday, November 9th!
