HO!
HO! HO! We are so close to our goal of 1000 toys! The toy box was overflowing this morning. Way to go Warriors! We truly
appreciate all of your contributions and so will the kids at Valverde Elementary and the Denver Indian Family Services
Center. You may still bring toys to the Attendance
Office. The Wrapping Party will be held Monday, Dec. 9, right after school in the
cafeteria. Please come help wrap and get the toys ready for delivery.
Here’s an important reminder to brand new members of National
Honor Society: Our induction ceremony is Monday night at 7:00 pm.
Our mandatory dress rehearsal is Monday after school at 2:30 in
the theater, and it will last approximately an hour. Then you will need
to be back in the theater between 6:30 and 6:45 for this important
event.

Athletics
Lady Warriors busy this week: aggressive defense and team play is the theme for all teams this
week.
Freshman: Were victorious in their first outing of the season beating Overland 35-24. Led by the rebounding and scoring of Elianna Kearby, the freshman Lady Warriors played a balanced game on both ends of the floor.
Sophomore: "Suffocating defense" marked the debut of the Lady Warriors sophomore team in their defeat of Overland 72-13. Led by Allie Sheehans 3 point shooting on offense, our sophomore's showed a transition game that will be a challenge for other teams to keep up with this year. Their defense to points play was impressive.
