TSA, there will be a mandatory meeting after school today in Room E6. There are several
competitive events that we will need to have "Run Offs" for before we
can finalize our State TSA registration. In order to sort through these,
you must be there. If you are not there, you won't be selected for the
overloaded events.
Speech and debate general
meeting today in C15. No
picture on today, but we need you in tournament attire on Thursday, January 23 after school for team pictures.
All Congress National Qualifiers need to practice today and Thursday of
next week.
Hey Warriors! Concert Choir will be making bracelets to send to the
students of Berrendo Middle School in the cafeteria after school tomorrow.
Anyone interested in coming should know that the materials and
instructions will be provided, all we need are some extra hands.
Come show your support for this school!
Attention
all FBLA Members. Students who are competing in a presentation event
at the District Competition are invited to a competition prep night tomorrow.
Please stop by the business department during lunch or after school today
in order to sign up for this event.

Warriors! The 2014 Arapahoe High School Winter Dance, A Night in Lights, is on Saturday, January 25th from 7-10 p.m. in the AHS Cafeteria. It is semi-formal
and is a Sadie Hawkins night where the girls invite the guys! The
cost is $10/person in advance and $15/person at the door. Tickets go on
sale in the cafeteria during both lunches beginning Tuesday,
January 21st. This dance is so
much fun, you won't want to miss it!
Attention all club sponsors, officers, and members: It is time to take this year’s club photos
for the 2013-2014 Calumet Yearbook. Club photos will be taken on
Thursday, January 23 and Monday, February 10 in the AHS theatre after school
from 2:30-3:30. Sponsors, please sign up your club for a time slot as
soon as possible. Thank you!
Attention club members. The following clubs have signed up to
have their club photo taken for the yearbook on Thursday, Jan. 23 after school
in the theatre -- Warriors of the Word, Wild Warrior Women, Speech and Debate
and Art Club. Please plan to be there for the photo if you are involved in
these groups. There are still time-slots available for other clubs, so please
sign up if you are an officer.
Remember,
students, that The Muse magazine has extended its deadline for writing and
art submissions for Volume 12. The
Muse staff believes that
sharing our stories will make us stronger and help us heal. We would also like to remind
faculty and staff that you, too, can send us your stories, reflections, or
artwork, especially as it pertains to the last month here at Arapahoe.
Faculty submissions can be emailed directly to Mr. Miles. Students, please see
our guidelines for submitting on The
Muse web page under Activities. Our new deadline will be the last day of January--the
31st. Thank you.
Athletics
All four
girls basketball teams swept Overland last Friday night. As the season is
progressing, all teams are showing a more balanced scoring and the team wins
are exciting to watch. This Wednesday the Lady
Warriors take on Mullen at home, starting with Freshman play at 4:00 pm, Sophomore
and JV at 5:30, and Varsity at 7:00 pm. Come out and support your Lady Warriors!
There will be a Boys Swim/Dive Booster Club registration meeting
tomorrow at 7:00 in the cafeteria. Please plan to attend this
important meeting.
