Announcements
Attention Sophomores and Juniors - If you are
interested in applying for next year's Link Crew and you have not received an
application, please pick one up from Mrs. Moritz's desk in the Language Arts
office. Applications are due March 18th.
Think you play a mean game of volleyball? Or
maybe you are just looking for an excuse to have some fun with your
friends? Signup packets for the FBLA Volleyball Tournament on March 30th are officially available in the
business department. Hurry, these packets are going fast and teams will
be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
The United States Marine Corps will be here tomorrow during both lunches in the Post Grad
Center to discuss NROTC scholarships with the Class of 2017. If you are
interested in the military and the potential to pay for college, please come
and check it out.
Irish eyes were shining on Brian Thomas as he is our
latest winner in the AHS Library's We Heart Digital contest. Want to be a
winner like Brian? This week is your last chance. How do you enter you ask?
Simple - Just download the free BryteWave K-12 App and checkout an e-book or
digital audio book. Do this by Friday morning
and you will be eligible for the drawing during lunch that day. May the luck of
the Irish be with you!
Are you interested in sports
management? Have you ever dreamed of working for the Nuggets, Avalanche,
Rapids or Outlaws? If so, come down to the forum 4th or 5th period this Thursday for
a presentation about careers in sports.
Athletics
Interested in trying out for the Arapahoe Toms? There
will be an informational parent meeting
March 10th at 7pm in the Forum. Tryouts will be March 14-17 with
announcement of team on March 18th. Please check out the Toms website for more information.
Get ready Warriors! The first Boys Swim and Dive
meet is this Thursday, at our own AHS pool against Mullen at 4:30 pm. Go
and cheer! This Saturday, March 12, AHS will also host the AHS Relays. Diving
begins 9 a.m., Swimming begins at noon. No water too cold for a team so hot.
