General Announcements
Only one week left to register for the PSAT. Juniors (and interested sophomores), come to the Counseling Department to sign up. Cost is $20. Registration is from now until Oct. 4th. PSAT test will be happening Wednesday morning, Oct. 11th. We are encouraging every junior to take this test. The PSAT is the only exam to qualify a student for National Merit Scholar Status, when taken during junior year.
Juniors and seniors! Next Tuesday, the Post Grad Center will host Biola University, Dickinson College, Case Western Reserve University, Dartmouth College, the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, Williams College, Syracuse University, and Indiana University at Bloomington. For details, log in to Naviance. Sign ups close 24 hours prior to the visit time.
ATTENTION ALL JUNIORS AND SENIORS: The 2017 trip to Washington D.C. is here again! This trip is an amazing opportunity to experience Washington D.C. and Capitol Hill first hand. If you are interested please see Ms Winn in the Social Studies Department to pre-register and receive other important information.

SENIORS - Have you confirmed the spelling of your name for your diploma? Have you given your measurements for your cap and gown? If you answered NO to either of these, please stop by Mrs. Fletcher's office in Student Services this week. If you just aren't sure, please come by and double check.
Freshmen, please alter your plans to spend time with your Link Crew leaders during Homecoming next week. The Link Crew Homecoming T-shirt decorating party has been moved to Monday, October 2nd from 2:30p.m.-3:15p.m. in the cafeteria. See you there.
Hello Warriors are you excited for Homecoming week next week? Come join the talent show next Monday night @ 7pm! And show your warrior spirit by dressing up in your bluest outfit!! Reminder that the dance is this Saturday at 8, dress semi formally and remember your tickets and IDs! No High Heels on the dance floor, only soft soled shoes!
Guest forms for Homecoming are available in the Activities/Attendance office. All AHS students are allowed to bring a guest to homecoming, but are required to submit a signed & completed guest form with a legible picture of their guest by 3 pm on October 3. Please see Mrs. Railey in the Activities office for further details.
Come to the Arapahoe Homecoming Talent Show on October 2nd at 7:00 PM in the auditorium. Tickets are $5 and will be sold during lunch on Thursday and Friday this week and at the door. Homecoming royalty will be announced and there will be many amazing acts!
Attention Interested Sources of Strengths Peer Leaders:
If you are interested in Sources of Strength and have not yet turned in your parent permission slip, please do so as soon as possible. If you did not attend the informational meetings last week and are still interested in being a peer leader, please stop by the counseling office to pick up a parent permission slip. Any other questions related to Sources of Strength, please see Ms. Zimmerman or Ms. Hancock in the counseling office.
Athletics
Attention boys basketball: There will be a mandatory parent meeting next Tuesday, October 3rd at 6:30 in the Arapahoe Forum. This is a meeting for all players interested in trying out for basketball this Winter. Please have a parent at this meeting.
Varsity and JV Gold BOYS TENNIS finished their regular season against Columbine with 7-0 and 12-1 wins. Varsity will compete in the Regional tournament next week. Congratulations Boys Tennis!
Congrats to the JV softball team for beating Smoky Hill yesterday by a score of 25-11. Way to hit the ball ladies. Good luck against Cherokee Trail on Saturday!
The Girls Gymnastics team took 2nd at their meet on Wednesday! Kudos to Kayla Smith and Aspen Fredericks for placing 4th & 5th in the All Around and Heather Rynders for placing 3rd on Beam! You girls are amazing!
Yesterday, your Arapahoe Boys’ Varsity Soccer team was victorious over Grandview by a score of 3-0. Goals were scored by Mitch Engerman, Cameron Gail, and Nash Herman. Stellar defensive play was anchored by Zander Hahn, Zach Tripp, and Goalie Spencer Cobb. JV lost a hard-fought battle with Grandview 2-1. Nice work Warriors!
