General Announcements

*Who will win? Who is truly the best of the best? Who will be your 2019 Mr. Arapahoe? Find out Tuesday night at 7:00 PM in the AHS theater, where ten senior boys will compete for the crown. Tickets are $5 at lunch and at the door.

*Attention Juniors and Seniors: If you have invited a freshman or sophomore as your guest to prom this weekend, you must submit a guest form for the freshman or sophomore even if they are a Warrior. Prom is for AHS Juniors and Seniors and all others are considered guests. These forms must be turned in BEFORE 9:30 AM on Wednesday.

*Come ONE, Come ALL!! - It is time to purchase your 2019 Tickets to "The Greatest Show" After Prom. Tickets will be sold in the cafeteria during both lunches this week Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We will be accepting credit and debit card purchases this year in addition to cash or checks (made payable to AHS PTO).  Cost is $25.00 per person in advance and $30.00 per person at the door. Only Juniors and Seniors may purchase tickets and you may purchase only two total tickets. Also juniors and seniors may purchase an after prom ticket even if you are not going to Prom! Same rules apply for After Prom as for Prom regarding guests from other schools. Your guest form must be approved before you receive your tickets. After Prom will be located right here at Arapahoe High School from 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM following Prom. It is very important that you remember that in order to enter After Prom you MUST have your tickets and photo ID with you.

*Hey Warriors! Are you enthusiastic and interested in using your voice and talents to broadcast the daily announcements to our fellow Warriors next school year? Come to the front office to sign up by this Wednesday! Tryouts will be held after school the week of May 6-10.

*Seniors! Please be sure that Mrs. Hall has a copy of your scholarship award letters! Based on historical data, it's likely that this class was awarded double the amount that has been reported. Please submit the award letters to ensure you are properly honored and for accurate district reporting. Also, be sure to complete the Senior Exit Survey this week to be included in the highly anticipated Herald Map.

*Juniors! Are you anxious about the fall college application season?  Come to the Forum this PLC Wednesday at 8:30am to learn about what you can do NOW and over the summer to lessen the workload in the fall.

*Students & Staff: this coming Wednesday, May 1st is National Decision Day!  Wear your favorite college or program shirt to celebrate all educational goals beyond high school.

*Guess what?! Key Club’s shoe drive for the organization “Soles for Souls” is STILL happening this week until Friday! Soles4Souls creates sustainable jobs and provides relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. Look for the big blue boxes around the building -- this is your last week to purge your closets for a great cause. All you have to do is bring any shoes you or your family members no longer want, dump them in a blue box, and you’re done! Let's see if we can donate 1000 pairs!

*Free Alive @ 25 class Tuesday May 7th at 3:45 PM - 8:15 PM in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee. If you are 15 1/2 you can get your driver’s permit after taking the class and many insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up online at www.aliveat25.us.To register for the class the password is "arapahoe". Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.
