Please stand and join us in the Pledge of Allegiance
General Announcements

*Warriors! TODAY is the last day to bring in money to your science class! All donations go to the World Wildlife Fund’s efforts to help koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, and other wildlife tragically affected by the devastating Australian Fires. Remember, every class that raises at least $100 will win a Krispy Kreme Donut Party for their class. Moreover, the teacher whose classes raises the most money collectively will win a Starbucks gift card. This is your opportunity to help animals affected by the fires! Marine Life/Environmental Club thanks Student Council for their assistance in spreading awareness about this issue.

*How can you prepare yourself academically for the future?  At College Night, there are sessions on working with your counselor, academic support available at AHS, choosing curriculum wisely, standardized testing and preparation, and NCAA eligibility to play sports in college. Submit RSVPs for you and a parent or guardian before Friday!

*Attention all G/T students! Already feeling stressed with your second semester work? Are the winter doldrums bringing you down? We've got just the solution! Come join us in the library for an afternoon of relaxation, community, and fun on Wednesday, February 12 from 3:45-4:30. We will have activities and snacks to provide you some escape from the stresses of school. Hope to see you there!

*Thanks to our super-dooper snow, our ACT seminar has been rescheduled for today and tomorrow February 6th.  For those of you who have signed up, it will be in the tiered classroom at the regularly scheduled time.

*Need a fun date for Valentines Day? Come to the Vocal Music's Valentines "Day" Cabaret on February 13th! This will include a fun night filled with performances from students and well as the auditioned choirs. Tickets are available now and all proceeds go to AWVM. Visit the AWVM website for more information.

*Over Spring Break next year--March of 2021--Arapahoe's Choirs will be travelling to both England and Ireland to perform, sightsee, and to be immersed in the history and culture of these European countries. If you are interested in attending this trip, please visit the Vocal Music audition webpage, talk to a current AWVM student, or see Mr. Schjodt for audition details. Auditions for next year's travelling ensembles are scheduled to take place during the month of February.
