*High School Musical Stars...YOU ARE LOOKIN’ GOOD. The spirit is alive today Warriors! Don't forget to make your reservations for your night out on the Red Carpet for Saturday. Streets of Southglenn and other local restaurants are anxious to serve you. Make a reservation for small groups today. Don't forget to stop by Regal Hollywood Theatres in Southglenn for some paparazzi photos.
*Heyyy Seniors! Did you or do you plan on dressing in Dynamic Duo costumes for the Fall Premiere? DM your photos of you and your duo to @ahswarriormedia to be entered into our Fall Premiere Dynamic Duo Contest! Your peers will vote on a bracket of your costumes; whoever makes it to the top will win a $15 gift card of their choice. DM us by Monday, October 12th to enter!
*Student Council thanks all of the student organizations that participated in our Fall Premiere Reverse Parade. The judges have decided and here are the results: Three groups tied for second place and those groups are Cheerleading, LINK Crew and FBLA! And the best float of our Reverse Parade competition is... the WRESTLING TEAM!! Check out all of the great floats both inside and outside of the building!
*Hey Junior and Seniors! If you received an invitation email to join National Honor Society, please join us for the last virtual information meeting today, October 8 at 3:40 PM. You must have attended one of our meetings if you want to apply. Contact Ms. Bownds, Mr. Sexson, or Ms. Wheeler if you have any questions.
*This Saturday, Arapahoe High School FBLA will host their annual Shredathon Fundraiser. A paper shredding truck will be shredding unwanted documents in the Arapahoe High School east parking lot from 9am to 12pm. Tell your parents to stop by if they have any documents that they need to shred. The cost is $10 per box. All proceeds go to support Arapahoe High School FBLA.
*Students! Did you purchase an athletic pass this year? If so, a new student ID has been printed for you and will be distributed Friday in your classes. Please be sure to pick yours up and add it to your lanyard.
*Students, come say "Hi" to the therapy dogs-- Gus, Zeke, and Remi. Today a therapy dog will be outside the North Forum entrance. They will be happy to see you!
*If you are taking the SAT or PSAT on October 14, please see Ms. Vail in the counseling office for your student guide.
*Seniors! Do you have a November 1st college application deadline? The College Application Tracking Form is due on October 13th by 4:00 PM for all schools with a November 1st application deadline. See Mrs. Arnold in the main office or Mrs. Hall in the library if you have questions regarding the College Application Tracking Form.
*Be a part of the LPS Foundation’s STRIDE! Run, walk, bike, swim, hike, dance... whatever moves you! This year’s Stride will be a no-contact 5K/10K event within a three-day window between October 23rd and the 25th. Help our school win a $1,000 Stride Grant! Register by Sunday, October 11th at runthestride.com.
*And the award goes to.. All You Warriors for wearing your masks, keeping up with your daily health self-screenings, social distancing, good handwashing and recording your attendance on all virtual days. Keep it up!
Athletics
*ATTENTION ALL WARRIORS: Friday night our Varsity football team hosts Grandview in their first game of the season at LPS Stadium at 7:00 PM. All admissions to the game are by reservation/lottery only in the form of a non-transferable ticket voucher. Tickets can be purchased (when presenting your voucher) in the form of CASH ONLY or Student Athletic Pass. Students who drew a ticket voucher must bring their signed voucher and student ID with them to the game. Spectators with vouchers must also sign and date the back of the voucher before arriving at the game. No admittance will be granted to the stadium parking lot without the voucher. Tickets will not be sold at the gate! Bring your school spirit and your mask Friday night as the Warriors take on the Wolves in Centennial League action. Go Warriors!
*Students who drew a ticket voucher, come by the Athletic Office as soon as possible to pick it up for tonight’s football game.
*Congratulations to our Warrior Boys Golf Team for their 2nd place finish in the 5A State Golf Tournament!
*Well done to the Boys Cross Country Team for finishing 4th at Regionals. 2 runners earned 2nd team all-region honors. Great season, gentlemen
*Congratulations to the Girls Cross Country Team for placing 2nd at Regionals. 4 runners earned 1st team all-region recognition. They will run at the State Meet on Saturday, October 17th.
