General Announcements

*Are you planning to take the vocational route after graduation? Check out the PEO Scholarship opportunity for women for up to $5K toward your education! The application closes January 31st. See more details in Naviance or stop by the Post-Secondary Center in room S1401 for more information.

*FBLA-Prejudged Events: If you are an FBLA member who has a prejudged event the deadline for your projects is next Wednesday, January 12th. Be sure to get them in! We also have online testing open now!

For any FBLA member who has a testing competition please use the google form in our google classroom to sign up for a testing time between now and next Thursday the 13th!

*FBLA is also having a  Pizza Party Champ Camp: and want some help with your competitions? Be sure to sign up using the form in the google classroom and enjoy some PIZZA and advice at our Pizza Champ Camp on January 19th and the 20th.

*Key Club is working with Colorado Kids4Kids and is having a school supply drive to collect new and unused school supplies for Colorado schools in need.  Please bring any school supplies that you have to donate to TRIBE on Tuesday, January 11th.

*Interested in teaching? Do you like working with children? Learn about LPS Education Pathway courses that help you earn college credit while you explore the teaching profession. *Are you 15 and 6 months or older and would like to get your driver's license? LPS Driver Ed is offering an exclusive opportunity for you to take the 4 Hour Driver Awareness Class from the comfort of your home virtually in the evening on Jan. 24th and 25th.  The cost is quite reasonable with an opportunity for the classroom session to be free with purchase of a two hour behind the wheel lesson package for $150. Athletics

*Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Basketball team for beating Cherry Creek 56 to 48 on Wednesday night, and also congratulations to the Varsity Boys Basketball team for also beating Cherry Creek 61 to 45.  Come out this evening and support your Varsity Boys Basketball team as they take on Smoky Hill tonight at home at 7:00pm in Anthony Sitting Eagle Gymnasium.

*Come support the LPS Varsity Hockey Team as they take on defending state champion Valor Christian Today at 6:00 pm at South Suburban Sports Complex and on Saturday, at  12:00 (noon) against #1 ranked Regis also at South Suburban Sports Complex. The game Saturday is a home game so all students get in free!  The JV team plays Valor Saturday 1/8/2022 8:05 pm at South Suburban Sports Complex
