General Announcements

*Warriors! On Friday, the Winter Pep Assembly is going down after 5th period. There will be singing, competitions, dances, free t-shirts, plus a surprise from your AHS teachers. See you there! 

*If you’re a graduating senior who has relocated to the Denver metro area during high school, consider applying for the Rocky Mountain Relocation Council Scholarship! Lucky winners will receive $3000 in tuition assistance. Applications due by February 15th. See more details in Naviance or stop by the Post-Secondary Center in room S1401 for more information.

*Attention Freshmen!  Hearing and Vision Testing is taking place this week from Monday through Thursday. You will be tested during your U.S. History class. The Hearing and Vision Truck is located in the East Parking Lot. You can use the east doors by the Art department to exit the building. Please be sure to wear and/or bring your glasses or contacts to school this week.

*Seniors! Herff Jones, our official graduation partner, will be here on Thursday, February 17th from 11:45 am - 2:15 pm to deliver your official graduation announcements. If you placed an order for graduation announcements, make sure to stop by and see Herff Jones in the main entrance bubble to pick up your order. Still interested in ordering graduation announcements? You can place an order on their website www.herffjones.com. There are limited qualities of graduation announcements left, so make sure to place your order as soon as possible!

*Interested in teaching? An early Childhood Education and Teacher Cadet remote open house will be held on Thursday, January 27th at 5:30 pm. For more information check out our blog or contact Mrs. Laura Alsdorf.


Athletics

*If you are interested in learning more about Arapahoe Girls Lacrosse, please join us on Thursday, February 24th for a pre-season Parent/Player meeting at 6:00 pm in the AHS Forum. Tryouts for the spring 2022 season are February 28 - March 2 from 6:00 -8:00 pm at South Suburban Bubble. Please request to be added to the Arapahoe GLAX team in Team App for more information!

*Interested in playing Girls Golf this spring?  Then plan on coming to the mandatory parent-player meeting on Wednesday, February 2nd in the Forum at 6:00 pm.  See Coach Riordan in the World Languages Office if you have any questions.

*Warriors, we need your support at this Thursday's varsity home doubleheader basketball game. Bring cash to donate to the Marshall Fires in Boulder, and to enter for a chance to compete at halftime for a prize. Girls at 5:30 pm and boys at 7:00 pm. Wear Colorado gear and see you Thursday!

*Congratulations to the AHS Climbing team for their sixth place finish this weekend at the Denver Bouldering Club competition! Make sure to support the team at their last regular season competition on February 5th from 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm and follow @arapahoeclimbing on Instagram for updates. Anyone interested in joining the climbing club should speak to Mr. Lutz.

* Today at 5:00 pm Varsity & Dive host Mullen at Arapahoe High School, activities also include celebrating our athletes at Senior Honor night.

* Saturday the 29th at 10:00 am the Girls Swim Team heads to Smoky Hill to compete in Centennial B League Championship meet.

*Registration for the AHS Warriors Boys Swim & Dive season is open. We are asking each athlete to register by February 8th in order to have team gear in time for the first meet. Please contact the Booster Board with any questions.

*Today eat to support the boys swim and dive team at the Panda Express on Town Center Drive in Highlands Ranch from 11:00 am - 9:00 pm. 50% of sales will be donated to the team. Order online PandaExpress.com or the App Enter 331620 in the fundraiser code box
