 General Announcements

*Hearing and Vision screening will continue to take place TODAY.  Freshmen will be pulled from US History and US History Honors classes and all new 10, 11, and 12th graders will receive a pass with their scheduled time. The screening bus is located on the east side of the building.  Please use the east doors in the Art Department hallway to exit the building and return through the Bubble. Remember to bring you glasses or wear your contacts for your screening! Any Questions, see Mrs. Wern in the Main Office.


*Graduating Seniors… are you innovative, creative, fearless, and willing to risk failure in the pursuit of something new? Submit your own original project in fashion, technology, visual or performing arts – anything from a novel to an opera to a new car design – for a chance to win the $20,000 MCA Denver Failure Scholarship! No idea is too absurd! Deadline is March 1st.


*Hey Warriors - come support your Unified Warrior Basketball team on Thursday, February 21 at the Tri-School Unified game at Heritage High School at 6:30pm. Let's pack the house & show how Warriors always take care of one another!  


*The AHS pit orchestra is looking for a few students who play electric guitar and/or bass to join us for the spring musical ~ ‘Mean Girls’.  You don't have to be a current band student to participate so if you are looking for ways to get involved, this would be a great way to get started!  Please contact Mr. Funk in the band room ASAP if you are interested.


*Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge!  It’s time to get your dodgeball team together for the Wish Week Dodgeball Tournament on Tuesday, March 19th.  Teams will consist of 10 kids, at least three have to be female.  We are limiting sign ups to the first 16 teams, so first come, first served.  Team captains, come down to the Activities office to pick up your packets.  


*Warriors there will be a FREE ‘Alive @ 25’ class Monday, March 11th at  3:45pm - 8:15pm in room W1874.  If you are voluntarily taking the class, the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee.  If you are 15 ½,  you can get drivers permit after taking the class and a lot insurance companies give you a discount.  This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line at www.alive@25.us.  To register for the class the password is "arapahoe".  Any questions ask Deputy Englert.


*Warriors - the Be Happy Boutique is coming back to Streets of SouthGlenn!  This is an opportunity to get formal wear (dresses & suits) for all of your formal events — from prom to homecoming and everything in between at a price you can afford.  Mark your calendar to visit their ONCE A YEAR shop on the first two weekends of March!  Be sure to plan ahead!  They are located at Streets of Southglenn - across the street from H&M.  They follow a pay what you can model.  So whether someone can offer $0, $20, or more, all are welcome



Athletics

*Do you have an interest in sports management?  The AHS Baseball team is currently accepting applications for team managers for the upcoming spring season.  Please see Coach Dollaghan in the PE department if you are interested.
