*Have you ever wanted to be a pirate and explore the seas? Well, come support and watch our very own school production of ‘Treasure Island’. With thrilling twists and turns, you’ll be on the edge of your seat! Tickets are $12 and show days are Oct. 3rd, 4th & 5th at 7:00pm. Tickets are available at the Thespian website, bit.ly/ahstheatre.
*Seniors - If you have not verified the spelling of your name for a diploma or provided your height information for your cap/gown order, please stop by Mrs. Sorensen’s office in Student Services as soon as possible.
*National Honor Society Members. The shirts are in! Please come to the cafeteria during both lunches this week or before school on Thursday and Friday to pick up your shirt.
*Have you ever wanted to learn how to cast a fly rod, or consider yourself a "fisherperson" who teaches on the side? Come join us, the Arapahoe Fly Fishing Club for our first Fly Casting Clash on Thursday, October 3rd at 7:27 AM in the Auxiliary Gym. Whether you're a beginner looking for instruction or an experienced angler up for some friendly competition, this event is for you!
Competitions include: Casting for accuracy AND Long-distance casting
Prizes will be awarded for top performers. We’ll have a few rods available or bring your own. Come out and enjoy a fun morning of fly casting and camaraderie with students and fellow staff members!
*Warriors -Rev up your engines and cruise on over to the AHS Annual Charity Car Show on Saturday, October 5th, from 9-noon in the east parking lot. Suggested entry per car is $5 and all proceeds will benefit the AHS Holiday Toy Drive and help support future shows. Tell your family, neighbors, & friends. *Quack Quack Quack, FBLA is hosting a Duck Race on October 8th in our pool. Purchase a single duck for $3.00, or two for $5.00 and you'll have a chance to win great prizes. All proceeds support the Alzheimer's Association. You don't have to be present to win. Buy ducks during lunch starting on October 3rd.
Athletics
*Good Luck to all of our Warrior teams this week as some of them begin to participate in post season play!
*The Warrior's Softball team begins League tournament play TODAY as they take on the Eaglecrest Raptors here at HOME at 4:15 pm. We want as many students to come out and support the Warriors this afternoon and to wear white as it is their White Out game! Go Warriors!
*Good luck to the Warriors Volleyball team TONIGHT starting at 4:30pm as they travel to Cherokee Trail HS to take on their league rivals, the Cougars! Go get 'em Warriors!
*Best of luck to our Lady Warriors Field Hockey team as they head down the road to take on the Wildcats of St. Mary's Academy at 4:15pm in this much anticipated rematch for the Warriors! Good luck ladies!
*Best wishes also go out TONIGHT to our Warriors Flag Football team as they take on the Buffalos of Smoky Hill, tonight at 6:30pm, here at Arapahoe, on the turf.
*Last but not least, Good luck to our Boys Tennis team as they take on Valor Christian HS this afternoon starting @ 3:30pm and to our Boys Golf team as they continue to work their way through the state's regional playoffs!
*Get dinner AND support the Girls Basketball teams TODAY at Parry’s Pizza in the Streets of Southglenn between 5:00pm - 7:00pm. Present a flyer or mention Arapahoe Girls Basketball to your server or when you order online and 20% of the proceeds will go to the program.
*It's Spooky Season! Let the Arapahoe Toms Dance team help you have some fun with your favorite people and send them a Boo Basket! Boo Baskets are great for your kids, significant others, your fellow colleagues, friends and family! If you do not live in the area we are happy to deliver them to you to take home.
