 General Announcements

*Seniors - If you have not verified the spelling of your name for a diploma or provided your height information for your cap/gown order, please stop by Mrs. Sorensen’s office in Student Services as soon as possible.  


*ARGG - Matey, have you ever wanted to be a pirate and explore the seas?  Come immerse yourself in a pirate world with AHS Thespian’s production of  ‘Treasure Island’.  With thrilling twists and turns, you’ll be on the edge of  your seat!  Tickets are $12 and shows are Oct. 3rd, 4th & 5th at 7:00pm.  Tickets are available at the Thespian website, bit.ly/ahstheatre.  


*Seniors! Just a reminder that if you have a November 1st college application deadline for a college that requires a letter of recommendation, your request should be made NOW! Please remember that you can only ask for more than one teacher letter if you're applying to a school that requires it. See Ms. Conn if you have questions!


*Hey Swifties of Arapahoe! Do you love Taylor Swift? Come join us this Friday,  October 4th for an interest meeting for our new club! It will be at 7:15am in room C1454. Donuts, fruit, and juice will be provided. We hope to see you there! Swifties Unite!


*Come out to see your Arapahoe/Littleton combined Ultimate Frisbee team take on Denver East, TOMORROW at 5:15pm on the AHS Soccer fields. Ultimate is fun and fast - check it out!


*Warriors, check out the Arapahoe Fly Fishing Club for our first Fly Casting Clash TOMORROW at 7:27 AM in the Aux gym.  Whether you're a beginner looking for instruction or an experienced angler up for some friendly competition, this event is for you!
Competitions include:   Casting for accuracy AND Long-distance casting

Prizes will be awarded for top performers.  We’ll have a few rods available or bring your own.  Come out and enjoy a fun morning of fly casting and camaraderie with students and fellow staff members!


*National Honor Society Members. The shirts are in!  Please come to the cafeteria during both lunches this week or before school on Thursday and Friday to pick up your shirt.


*Quack Quack Quack, FBLA is hosting a Duck Race on October 8th in our pool. Purchase a single duck for $3.00, or two for $5.00 and you'll have a chance to win great prizes. All proceeds support the Alzheimer's Association. You don't have to be present to win. Buy ducks during lunch starting TOMORROW.

*Warriors -Rev up your engines and cruise on over to the AHS Annual Charity Car Show on Saturday, October 5th, from 9-noon in the east parking lot.  Suggested entry per car is $5 and all proceeds will benefit the AHS Holiday Toy Drive and help support future shows. Tell your family, neighbors, & friends.  See the flyers around the school or Mr. Hawthorne for more details.


Athletics

*Good luck to our Boys Tennis team as they take on Ralston Valley in the first round of the State Dual Tennis Tournament at 4:00pm @ the APEX Tennis Center.


*It's Spooky Season! Let the Arapahoe Toms Dance team help you have some fun with your favorite peeps and send them a Boo Basket! Boo Baskets are great for anyone! If you do not live in the area we are happy to deliver them to you to take home. Order by October 9th for delivery on October 13th.  Use this link:
