This
month's National Honor Society meeting is happening today after school.
So if you're a current member of NHS, please join us in the Forum at
2:25. If you have just recently applied for membership in National
Honor Society, this meeting isn't for you yet, but here's some important
info... Letters indicating whether or not you are accepted for
membership in NHS were mailed out to home addresses on Monday, so you
should be receiving your letter this week. If you are accepted for
membership, please take the required actions to RSVP for the induction ceremony
as soon as possible. Thanks.
Hear ye
Hear ye the meeting of FBLA is today after school in Room E9. Today is the
day to sign up for your competition! Next week is the final
week to sign up for FBLA to participate in the district
competition.
TSA club will meet tonight in Room E7 after school from 2:25 -
3:00. Today is State TSA Conference and Competitive Event information
night! We will be passing out State TSA Conference paperwork and
signing up for events. We will also start printing out your official rules so
you can get started!! Don't miss this important meeting!
This year's fall play It's A Wonderful Life opens
tomorrow. Tickets are going fast! You can still buy tickets at
lunch. $5.00 for students, $7.00 for adults, senior citizens are free.
Or you can go online to www.seatyourself.biz and
search for Arapahoe. The show dates are this Thursday, Friday and
Saturday with all shows at 7:00 p.m. Also, check out our trailer on
YouTube.
The drama club is working in conjunction with Food Bank of the
Rockies so bring non perishable food items to the show and deposit them in the
barrels outside the theatre to make life a little more wonderful for someone
else.
The canned food drive for Food Bank of the Rockies is going on
through the end of this week, and student council has some fun lunchtime
activities for you. On Wednesday, you can look forward to games at lunch, and
on Thursday and Friday we will have a raffle during both lunches. Bring two
cans with you to lunch to get a raffle ticket. We will be drawing a winner at
the end of lunch for a gift card to the DECA store. Keep bringing those cans to
the barrels all around school, and thanks for your help in supporting those in
need.
In honor of Veterans Day this Sunday,
the Social Studies Department has invited veterans to speak to Arapahoe
students. These veterans will be
speaking all day Monday in the forum, so if you would like to hear their
stories or ask them any questions, please stop by the Forum during any of your
unscheduled hours on Monday.
Free Alive @ 25 class for AHS
students November 29th, 3-7:30 p.m. The class is normally $39. To sign up go to
the alive @ 25 website or there's a link on the schools website or talk to
Deputy Englert.
Athletics
Arapahoe
has advanced in the 5A football playoffs and will travel on Friday, November
9th to take on Horizon at North Stadium with a 7:00 p.m. kickoff. Ticket prices will be $5 for students and $7
for adults. Go Warriors!
Hey
Warriors ~ there will be a "spirit" bus headed to the football game
on Friday at North Stadium. Bus tickets will be sold for $3 during lunch
on Wednesday and Thursday only. This bus will take students from Arapahoe to
the game and return all students to AHS after the game is over. Let's pack the
stadium with Warrior Spirit and cheer our team on to another victory! Go
Warriors!
This
announcement is for everyone interested in competing for the Arapahoe Warrior
Track and Field Team. There will be a brief informational meeting today
in Room S-14 after school. We will be discussing important items such as
winter workouts, weight training, and indoor meets. We will also be
informing you of some important dates that pertain to the upcoming spring
season. If you are unable to attend or are currently in a winter sport
and plan on participating this season please stop by the math office and see
Coach Lienemann. GO WARRIORS!
Winter
Sports Registration wraps up this week. Paperwork can be turned in from
2:00-2:30 p.m. in the Cafeteria. First day of official practice will be
on Friday so get your paperwork turned in today!

CHSAA Varsity tryouts are coming up Nov. 9-10! All LPS high school ice hockey players are welcome to try
