The Muses are in, the Muses are in! After a rapid sellout of
our first 100 magazines, the Muse has
ordered 100 more magazines, and they are now here at the school. If you
missed out the first time around and are still interested in buying a copy of
this special edition, which include student and faculty writing, bring $15 to
Mr. Miles in the Language Arts office this week. We expect this batch to
sell out too!
This is tryout week for our Champion Color Guard! Girls, boys,
anyone interested should attend the informational meeting tonight at 7:00 pm in

you there to be a part of this awesome team!

We have over
500 students with outstanding fees. Students with unpaid fees will be
delayed at arena scheduling. Please check infinite campus to see if your
fees are paid, or check the list by the bookkeepers office. Do not risk
not getting that class you really want because your fees were not paid!
Athletics
Let’s hear it for our 9th and 10th grade track and field athletes! Both boys and girls teams ran circles around the competition – winning 1st place at the Centennial League Fresh/Soph Championships.
Last Friday
night, your AHS girls’ Varsity lacrosse team finished off their historic
regular season with a decisive 15 - 4 victory over Heritage/Littleton.
This victory resulted in the Warriors, once again, winning the coveted
Three Sisters’ Trophy for the third year in a row. The girls played
extremely well. Their energetic play provided an exclamation point to
their wonderful season which resulted in the first ever Centennial League
Championship for Arapahoe girls’ lacrosse. The evening also included the
ceremony honoring our Seniors. We would like to congratulate them for
their hard work and dedication to the AHS lacrosse teams over their years at
Arapahoe. Those seniors are: Rachel Abreu, Lauren Carpenito,
Kendall Cooke, Alexy DaHarb, Kate Englert, Lizzy Gouin, Hannah Heurlin, Britt
Klosterman, Chandler Ramsey, and Isley Walker. Best of luck to all of you
in your future endeavors, and a huge “Thank You” for the wonderful lacrosse you
have provided for your AHS Girls’ Lacrosse fans. You will be missed! But
the Varsity season is not over yet. They head into the playoffs this week
with a “bye” in the first round. The second round games will be played
toward the end of this week. Stay tuned for information on their first playoff
game. Go Warriors, you are the best!
Today is
the last day of the season so come cheer on the Jr. Varsity baseball team as they
take on the Smokey Hill Buffalos today! Stop by and cheer on your
favorite players and have a snack at the concession stand today at 4:30.
Go Warriors! Beat the Buffalo's!
