Congratulations
AHS Speech and Debate for your hard work last weekend at the Cherry Creek
Winter Wonder. In a tournament of over 700 students, all of the students were
recognized for their achievements with three students earning excellent and
four students earning superior ribbons. A special shout out goes to Sanat Mehta
for placing 6th overall in Lincoln-Douglas Debate and to Ethan Snow for placing
2nd overall in International Extemp. Great job everyone!
Attention Muse Members. If you ordered a t-shirt, please be
sure to pick it up this week from Mrs. Svigel in the art department. All shirts
that are not paid for by the end of the week will be sold as a first come first
serve basis. So if you still want your shirt please come and get it by Friday. Thank
you !
The PSAT
results are back. Please come to the Guidance Office to pick up your results.
Lost and Found: Please
check the table in the cafeteria for clothing items and the Attendance Office
for smaller items. After Friday,
December 19, all items will be donated.
The Arapahoe Cheers
will be sponsoring a Toiletry Drive for the Brandon Center Women's Shelter
after the break so those of you travelling over the holidays, please save your
hotel toiletry items to donate. Thank you.
Athletics
Your
Arapahoe Lady Hoops Won against Chapparal last night 55-33. Scoring was
led by Jennah Knafelc with 23 points, Katie Crowley with 9, Macy Ziegler with 8
and Annabelle Brewer with 6 points. Leading rebounders were Jennah
Knafelc & Elianna Kerby with 5 each. With great team effort the
Warriors shut down Chapparals offense outscoring them in all four periods.
Your Lady Warriors controlled the lead the entire game! Way to Go
Warriors!! Next game for your Lady Warriors is this Thursday @ 7:00 p.m. at Arapahoe against Palmer! Come
out and support your Lady Warriors. Enjoy
some Aspire Sport Drink samples. Come out and try your best basketball shooting
skills at halftime and earn some prizes from one of our sponsors! Come
show your Warrior pride and cheer on The Lady Hoops!
Please note the game
times for tonight’s games at Heritage for ALL boys basketball teams will
start 30 minutes earlier than normal due to exams. The NEW game times are
6:30 Varsity, 5:00 JV and
Sophomore, and 3:30 Freshman. Please get this word out since we absolutely
need to pack the gym for this cross-town rival game. You must cancel
work, delay office holiday parties, move final shopping plans, take extra
Vitamin C, eat well, hydrate, etc. to make sure you will all be at this
game! Just kidding - but really, try to be there because this is always a
fun rival event to cheer our boys on!
Don't forget about the
inaugural Alumni Night basketball game this Saturday.
Come hang out and enjoy a great community get together to see players old and
new. Alumni teams will square off after the 2:00 p.m. Varsity
game vs Dakota Ridge. We expect competitive juices will be flowing as
past Warrior greats plan to show off their stuff. Players from each of
the last few years who made the Great 8, Final 4, and State championship games
have formed teams.
