General Announcements
Today
is the last day to pick up a yearbook. We'll be in the cafeteria during both
lunches and after school. Any books not claimed today may be sold. If you're running out of space for people to sign your
yearbook, we have inserts for sale. Eight blank pages for a dollar. Come find
us in the cafeteria at lunch. The final issue of the
Arapahoe Herald for this year is available. It features 24 pages of fascinating
content, including the special Senior Focus section. Get your copy today!
Attention
incoming LINK leaders and A-team members:
Please join us in the
large gym today at 4:00 p.m. Wear comfortable clothes. If you cannot attend, please see one of the
sponsors.
Seniors … Please pick
up your collage at the East Entrance Security Kiosk today.
Please return books you borrowed from the Post
Grad Center so they are available for other students. Thank you.
Warriors, if you want registration to go smoothly be sure
that you are checking both the library and bookkeeping lists. Your
registration card will be held if you have any outstanding fines. Deadline date for the Library is tomorrow.
As you prepare for Arena Scheduling, please
note that the first and second semester master schedules are posted on the main
page of the AHS website. As we begin Arena on Tuesday and
classes begin to close, those closed classes will be updated on the posted
master schedule (strikethrough in red). As you prepare for your scheduling
time, you should check the updated master schedules for which classes are
closed and plan accordingly. We would recommend that you check the night before
you schedule and then again 30 minutes or so before you begin scheduling. The
more you can plan before you enter the Arena floor, the quicker and happier
you'll be.
Do you play drums? Are you looking to
become a better musician and performer? The Arapahoe Percussion Ensemble
is hosting their audition clinics this week. The final clinic will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in
the Band Room. You don't need any percussion experience and we will teach
you! Talk to Mr. Funk or Coach Dustin Arndt for more information.
Since we're coming to the end of the school
year, we will need to collect the Connected Learners Chromebooks
that we've loaned to students. If you have checked out one of our Chromebooks,
you will need to bring it (and your charger) to your Language Arts final exam
to turn in. If you have any questions, please see your Language Arts teacher or
Mr. Fisch.
Attention students and
parents . . . the school year is ending soon.
Do you have enough money in your lunch account to last until the end of
the year? Do you have a negative balance
that needs to be paid? Now is the time
to watch lunch account balances and pay off any past due amounts. As of May 4, students will not be permitted
to charge. Unsure of your balance? Ask one of the kitchen staff or check your
account at MySchoolBucks.com.
Lost and Found: Please check the
table in the cafeteria for clothing items and the Attendance Office for smaller
items. After tomorrow all
items will be donated.
Athletics
Every race has a finish line, and for your
Arapahoe Track and Field team, that line is the state meet, starting today, at
JeffCo Stadium. Twenty-seven male and female athletes will join hundreds of other competitors, all vying for
the title of “state champ.” Run like the wind, Warriors!
Tomorrow and Saturday, members of the boys Warrior Swim and Dive Team
head to the Air Force Academy to represent AHS in the State meet! Thanks go out
to their coaches who have worked hard to get them this far. But
they will be representing the entire AHS 2015 Boys Swim and Dive team, because
this is a great team, and a great team effort. Go Warriors!
