General Announcements
Toys for Tots: This is our last week for toy donations; we are
almost to our goal of 1,000 toys. Lets go Arapahoe! Bring your wonderful toy
donations to the Attendance Office.
Congratulations to the Jazz Band for a great performance at the Legend
High School Jazz Festival on Friday afternoon!!! Arapahoe earned an
overall rating of "EXCELLENT PLUS" for their performance in front of
professional jazz musicians and educators. Their rating was just below a
SUPERIOR rating, the highest rating that a band could earn at the
festival. Congratulations Warriors!!!
Congratulations to the Warrior Marching Band for an outstanding
performance at the Colorado Springs Festival of Lights Parade on Saturday
night. The band performed in front of a packed and very energetic crowd
along the parade route. The band took first place out of 10 other bands
attending! The parade was televised
locally in Colorado Springs and you can watch a live streaming reply at www.kktv.com. Congratulations
Warrior Marching Band and Color Guard on an amazing year!!!!
Attention all future doctors, nurses and teachers! We
have just the thing for you! The Health Sciences and Teacher Cadet
programs are wonderful opportunities for high school students to learn more about
the career path they are interested in, with classroom instruction and hands on
experiences. High school students can even become certified nursing assistants
right out of high school! Please see your counselor for more information.

@ 25 class Wednesday
December 7th at 2:30pm in
room W1874 . If you are voluntarily taking the class, the Sheriff's Office pays
for your $79 fee. If you are 15 1/2 you can get your drivers permit after
taking the class and a lot of insurance companies give you a discount. This is
a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line. Any questions ask Deputy Englert.
The last day for yearbook
orders is Wednesday, December 7. Check the list outside the
bookkeeper's office or your infinite campus account to see if you ordered
one. Don't forget all the memories from this year. Bring $67 to the
bookkeeper's office to order yours today!
Athletics
Attention Girls interested in playing soccer in the spring;
there will be an informational meeting Thursday at 2:30 in room N 1486.
Congratulations to Sophomore divers Franny Cable and Kirry Belitz
on qualifying for state! Way to go Divers!
Congratulations to the Varsity Cheers
on their 4th place finish at the Flip N Shout Winter Challenge this past
weekend. The team had a great performance and tough competition. Go
Warriors!"
The Arapahoe Lady
Warriors open their season last week by winning the Rock Canyon/Mountain Vista
Tip-Off Tournament. The 10th ranked Warriors had
victories over Rampart, Mountain Vista, and 7th ranked Monarch.
Maggie Wortman led
the Warriors with 26 points against Rampart. Macy Ziegler paced the
Warriors against Mountain Vista with 16 points and Monarch with 18 points.
Next up for the
Warriors is 3rd ranked Lakewood, this Tuesday at 7PM at
Sitting Eagle Gymnasium. Come out and support your Lady Warriors!
The Girls Swimming and Diving triumphed
again! Saturday the team competed against Lewis Palmer and Rock Canyon at
our home pool.
Kiley Dindinger and Anna Wetzel
achieved State qualifying times in both the 50 Freestyle and the 100
Backstroke. Sarah Siayap earned a State qualifying time in the 500
Freestyle. Congratulations!
The Lady Water Warriors compete three
times this week, Tuesday vs. Cherry Creek at Cherry Creek, Thursday vs.
Grandview at Grandview. Saturday we will host the Arapahoe Relays! Come
cheer us on! Diving begins at 9 AM followed by Swimming at noon. We
hope to see you there.
