General Announcements
We have had a
record-breaking Warrior Week, and part of our record comes from the $5300 we
raised during our miracle minute yesterday. This really is an impressive
number, and the generous spirit of our warrior community has absolutely floored
Jordon's family. A big thank you to Mr. Meyer's class for the most money
raised. Donuts coming your way soon!
Good morning, Warriors! We’re all enjoying the awesome creativity
and effort you have put into Weasley Day. Come show your Warrior spirit tonight at Bad Daddy’s from 5-9 and support Arapahoe and Jordon! Remember to dress up tomorrow in your Warrior Week t-shirts and eat lunch at Shawarma from 12-2!
Free Alive @ 25 class Tuesday March 21st at
2:30pm in room W1874. If
you are voluntarily taking the class, the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79
fee. If you are 15 1/2 you can get a drivers permit after taking the
class and a lot of insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour
class. Sign up on-line. Any questions ask Deputy Englert
It's time again for the annual Arapahoe High School FBLA Volleyball
Tournament! The coed tournament has been changed to Monday,
April 10th starting at 6pm. The tournament
has a superhero theme this year, so get 8 to 10 of your friends together and pick
up a registration packet. Packets will be available this
Thursday in the Business Department. Hurry!! Packets will be going fast!
Mr. Arapahoe, are you out there? You still have time
to pick up an application to enter! Come to the activity office TODAY for an
application, and as a reminder- the applications are due back tomorrow. Come on
all you senior guys, here is your claim to fame!
Are you a poet?, then enter the
Columbia Granger’s World of Poetry 2017 High School Student Poetry. Find your
poetic inspiration at the Grangers World of Poetry database, and then write
your poem in 30 lines or less. The online
submission deadline is April 10th, 2017. See your Language Arts teacher
or go to the library for further information including rules and detail.
Hey Link Crew Applicants! If you still
want to apply to be a Link Leader, you can! Applications are still available on
Mrs. Moritz’s desk in the English office. Applications are due this Friday,
March 17th no later than 2:30 pm.
ATTENTION ALL
ARAPAHOE ARTISTS Art Attack is Back!-The 13th
Annual Art Attack is underway and the art department
is now collecting pieces for the show. If you are interested in
entering please swing by the art office and pick up your entry
forms. We will be collecting art work now through Friday,
March 24th so don’t wait. For more information or answers to any
questions please see Mrs. Hawthorne, Ms. Davidson, Ms. King, or Ms. Mishoe.
Did you know that this year his year we are able to accept credit
card and PayPal donations via our own, dedicated site set up for us by
Make-A-Wish. If you, family members or friends (or all three!) would like to
make a donation this way you can access the donation site HERE.
Please
pass this information along to anyone who you feel may be interested in
donating to Jordon and Make-A-Wish! Remember, every dollar counts!
Congratulations
to the Arapahoe High School Knowledge Bowl team for their success at
the state-wide tournament held at Colorado State University Fort Collins. The
team made it through seven rounds of intense competition, and took 6th place
overall out of 60 teams in the tournament. They were also ranked 4th in the 5A
schools division. They have all worked very hard this past semester, please
congratulate them!!!
On Friday, the Post
Grad Center will host the University of Utah. Please sign up in Naviance.
Seniors, Juniors and anyone else 16 and older, listen up! Bet
you didn't know that on your sixteenth birthday you can PRE-Register to vote,
and the Colorado Democracy Challenge is here to help you out. We'll be in the
cafeteria and social studies classes from 3/20-3/22 to provide information and the opportunity to register. MAKE SURE TO BRING YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE OR PERMIT – YOU NEED IT TO REGISTER. If you do not have a State ID, you can register with the last four of your social security number."

JV Boys Lacrosse 1st game of the season!
Friday March 17th 4:30 at Powell Middle School Field where they will play Mountain
Vista
Friday, March 17: Please cheer on the Arapahoe boys’ varsity lacrosse team this afternoon at 4 PM as they battle Mountain Vista at Shea Stadium. It is a blackout game.
Wednesday, March 22: Please cheer on the Arapahoe boys’ varsity lacrosse team this evening at 7 PM as they take on the Cherry Creek at Stutler Bowl Stadium at Cherry Creek.
Tryouts for the 2017-18 TOMS dance teams
are coming up right after spring break! Anyone planning on trying out
will need to attend the mandatory parent information meeting being held next Wednesday, at 7pm in the AHS
Forum. Tryout details and registration information can be found on the TOMS website.
