General Announcements
We
love the Quidditch Player spirit at Arapahoe today! Let’s keep the energy
going! And don't forget to come show your Warrior spirit at the heated senior
v. staff basketball game tomorrow night from 7-9! Remember to dress up
for Wacky Wizard Day tomorrow...think Wacky Tacky!
Tomorrow, we will be having a Miracle Minute during third hour
classes. Bring bills and change to win donuts for your third hour class.
It's time again for the annual Arapahoe High School FBLA Volleyball
Tournament! The coed tournament has been changed to Monday, April 10th starting at 6pm. The
tournament has a superhero theme this year, so get 8 to 10 of your friends
together and pick up a registration packet. Packets will be available this Thursday in the Business Department. Hurry!! Packets will be going fast!
Members of National Honor Society, our group yearbook picture will be
taken tomorrow (this is a PLC day) at 9 am in the main
gym. Please come a couple minutes early, to be ready to smile pretty for
a nice group picture at 9 o'clock.
Mr. Arapahoe reminder: applications are due to the
activity office by this Friday- have you turned yours in yet?
Are you a poet?, then enter the
Columbia Granger’s World of Poetry 2017 High School Student Poetry. Find your
poetic inspiration at the Grangers World of Poetry database, then write your poem
in 30 lines or less. The online
submission deadline is April 10th, 2017. See your Language Arts teacher
or go to the library for further information including rules and detail.
Athletics
Tryouts for the 2017-18 TOMS dance teams
are coming up right after spring break! Anyone planning on trying out
will need to attend the mandatory parent information meeting being held next Wednesday,
at 7pm in the AHS Forum. Tryout details and
registration information can be
found on the TOMS website.
Congratulations to the ABK Soccer teams as they opened their season last week. Varsity beat Lakewood 5-0 behind 2 goals from Sydney Masxon, and one goal each from Kiah Benham, Audrey Weiss and Dani Babb. JV won their game against Lakewood 7-0 and C Level won 10-0. C Level also beat Thunder Ridge on Saturday with a score of 1-0.
Come out
and support your ABK this week as they hold their 27th annual Warrior
Invitational. The Varsity team opens play Wednesday night at
LPS stadium at 7:30 versus Littleton. The JV squad plays their
first Invitational game on Wednesday at AHS at 3:30 also
against Littleton. Please come out and cheer on the Warriors!
