General Announcements
If you applied for membership in National Honor Society, you should have already received a letter at your home informing you of whether or not you were accepted for membership. You should have also completed the online RSVP form, to indicate whether or not you will attend our Induction Ceremony. If you have not completed the online RSVP form yet, please do so by tomorrow at the latest. And if you didn't receive a letter at home please see Mr. Smith or Ms. McGeorge in the Science office, or Ms. Leclaire in the English office.
The saying, "Every penny counts," is true! Look under those sofa cushions and car seats for loose cash to donate to the 2nd Annual Avalanche of Toys & Miracle Minute. This Friday at the start of Period 3, you'll have a chance to put that money towards a good cause for the 16th Annual AHS Toy Drive. The class collecting the most money wins a donut party. The class collecting the most toys will each receive a $5 Chipotle gift card! For those students who do not have a 3rd period on Friday can bring their toys and/or cash to Mrs. Ryan in the Main Office. Their names will be put into a drawing for a Chipotle gift card.
You've seen and heard all the talk about the 16th Annual Arapahoe Toy Drive, now is your chance to be an active part of this wonderful community outreach! Students wishing to help deliver toys to LPS's Field Elementary on Wed., Dec. 20, immediately following the last final of the day, should pick-up a permission slip in the Activities/Attendance Office. Space is limited on a first-come basis.
At 11:00am today, there will be a brief ROTC scholarship presentation in the Forum. Come learn about the Reserve Officer Training Corps program and the opportunity to earn a scholarship that covers the cost of college!
Athletics
The LPS Ice Hockey’s CHSSA season has begun! The varsity team plays on Fri (Dec 1) at 7:45 PM against Pine Creek High School at South Suburban and again on Saturday (Dec 2) at 2pm against Castle View High School at Big Bear. The JV team plays on Saturday (Dec 2) at 4:50pm against Cherry Creek at Ice Ranch. Come out to support your Littleton Public Schools Ice Hockey Team!
