The PE and Health Department is sponsoring Wellness Week, February 12-16th! All Staff and students are invited to participate in this challenge. Check the Arapahoe website for the wellness challenge worksheet. Look and listen for physical, mental, and social health tips all week long. And on February 14th, Valentine’s Day, we will be wearing the color red for heart disease awareness. Invest in your health today and join us next week!
Tired of feeling like Valentine’s Day just isn’t for you? Let’s break the exclusiveness of Valentine’s Day and make it a time for EVERYONE to enjoy with “Pal”entine’s Day! On Monday, February 12, at the beginning of 3rd hour, we will take a minute to celebrate our positive pals! Everyone will write out things that they admire about their friends and then the responses will be made into paper chains and hung around our school. If you don’t have a 3rd hour and would like to participate, we will have extra slips available in the cafeteria!
Attention Seniors.....GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENT PICK UP is next Tuesday - FEBRUARY 13th. If you ordered Graduation Announcements from Herff Jones, please stop by the cafeteria to pick them up next TUESDAY, FEB 13th between 10:30 - 12:30.
Attention Juniors and Seniors. Have you taken 3 business classes already? If so, you may be eligible to be in the National Business Honor Society. Please stop by the Business Department to pick up an application. All applications are due today!
The Swim Waiver for current AHS students will be Thursday, March 8th @ 6:00am in the swimming pool. Students must email or stop by and see Mrs. Leyden in the Women's PE Office to pre-register. Space is limited to 15 students. See Mrs. Leyden if you have any questions.
Students - Interested in the Health Sciences Program offered by LPS for next year? Stop by the Counseling Department and see your counselor. Applications are due by February 28th.
Athletics
We want to wish our Varsity Cheer Good Luck when they compete this weekend at Nationals in Orlando! Live coverage will be on ESPN beginning tomorrow, with preliminary performance times beginning at 11:47 am Orlando time. Good Luck Warrior Cheer!

Students interested in Boys Lacrosse: Tuesday, February 20th we will have a Pre-Season Information Night for all parents and players grades 9 through 12 who plan to tryout. The meeting will be held in the School Cafeteria from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Our pre-season camp for all prospective Boys Lacrosse players will be held February 20th through February 23rd at Lorenz Park from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Tryouts are February 26th through March 2nd at Lorenz from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Finally, the Annual Spring Fling Fundraiser for the Boys Lacrosse Program will be held at the Breckenridge Brewery in Littleton on Friday, February 23rd. Come out to cheer on your #4 ranked LPS hockey team tomorrow when they play Aspen at 4:35 at the Ice Ranch. The JV team will also play Aspen on Saturday at 12:20 at South Suburban.
Today, our Swim & Dive State team travels to Fort Collins to compete in State Championships. Swim Prelims begin on Friday at 4:00 PM. Saturday, Dive Prelims begin at 9:00 AM. Also on Saturday, Swim & Dive Finals begin at 3:00 PM. All events will be held at Eldora Pool & Ice Center in Fort Collins. Come out and cheer them on!
