Special Announcement from our Principal Mrs. Pramenko

Good morning, Warriors! This is Mrs. Pramenko. May I have your attention for an important announcement. As you all probably know by now- all of the Littleton Public Schools are moving to a temporary distance learning model. While our numbers of positive Covid cases in quarantines for both students and staff here at Arapahoe have been relatively small- even when compared to some of our little elementary schools in the district- the ripple effects of so many of our schools in LPS and our neighboring districts having to go remote have had an impact on both our students who have siblings and other buildings as well as many of our staff who have children in them. While I am disappointed we won’t get to see you for a little while in person. I am extremely grateful for the past 12 weeks together. It is my sincere hope that if we all come together as Warriors and do our part to help decrease the spread of the virus - that the numbers will decrease enough in our county - that we will come back sooner than later. However, you should prepare to be in distance learning through the end of the semester.

I will send a communication home to you and your families later today. It will remind you of the expectations of distance-learning, and answer some questions that you and or your parents may have. Your very best resources for help and success in this model are going to be your classroom teachers. Every day will be a required synchronous day in all of your classes and teachers will be taking attendance. This will make more sense when you read the document and your teachers will help you understand. Grades will continue to be letter grades so it is important to attend class each day and to do your assignments.

Please know that we are all still here for you, and since we are not in a “Stay at home order” from the governor, some of your teachers may even be teaching from their regular classrooms at Arapahoe.

This is going to be very different from last spring because we are all much more prepared for remote learning and this will be a temporary shift.

So for a couple of important logistics . . . Monday, the 16th will be a non-student day so teachers and staff can prepare for my remote learning to begin on Tuesday.  Please review the letter I will send home for details on next week’s schedule as well as the bell schedule for the remainder of our distance learning.

We will continue to provide opportunities for “fun” for you! Many of our clubs will be creating virtual opportunities for you to participate in. Please follow our social media - especially the Warriors Official Instagram as well as the Warrior Media Instagram accounts. We will work hard to stay united as a Warrior community through this challenging time. We will miss seeing you in person, but will see you in some hangouts soon! Thank you for working hard to keep yourself and others healthy. Keep that up at home. And as always. . . Warriors, take care of one another!!!!
