 General Announcements

*Hey Warriors,  What did the turkey say to the Computer?  Google, Google! Get ready, this Friday, during both lunches, Turkey Bingo is coming to the AHS Cafeteria!  Mr. Miwa, the Ultimate Turkey Bingo Caller, will take the mic and award some fun prizes to the lucky winners.  You can't win if you don't play! 

 

*Congratulations to the DECA students who competed at the Dakota Ridge Invitational last weekend! Arapahoe ended up with 9, 1st place medals, 5,  2nd place medals, and 2, 3rd place medals!  Way to go, Warriors!!


*What a great turnout at the 12th Annual LPS Poetry Slam last week. This event empowers students to express themselves in a creative and healthy way in front of a live audience.  Congratulations to our own Julia Donahue on her 4th place finish!

 

*This week’s featured scholarship is for almost anyone interested in the pursuit of higher education! If you want to study history, economics, political science, medicine, nursing, occupational and physical therapy, education,math, the sciences or English, the Daughters of the American Revolution want to help you out.  Search for “DAR” in Naviance or stop by the postsecondary center for more information


*Attention 2022 Academic Letter Recipients - Please be sure to come and collect your packet from the main office before we leave for Thanksgiving break. Thank you!


*Warriors, there is a free Alive@25 class Monday, December 12th from 3:45pm - 8:15pm in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class, the Sheriff's Office pays the $79 fee.  If you are 15 1/2 you can get a driver's permit after taking the class.  Some insurance companies give a discount on rates for taking the class.  This is a 4 1/2 hour class.  Sign up online at www.aliveat25.us  and use the password  arapahoe.  Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.

 


Athletics

*The Boys and Girls Basketball teams are hosting a Foundation game on Saturday, November 26th at 5:30 pm to benefit Second Wind Fund.  Valor Christian and Arapahoe have teamed up to bring you a great night of basketball.  Entry to the game is by donation. Come out and support your Warriors and raise money for a great cause. 

*Get your Arapahoe Bracelets.  Girls Basketball is selling spirit bracelets to help raise money for their program. Bracelets are $25 for one or $108 for five, so you can get them for the whole family!   Presales are this week and bracelets will be delivered in January.
