 General Announcements

Warriors - Picture retakes are TODAY until 11 am in the Atrium. If you have not had a school picture taken for any reason, please have one taken.

*Warriors - Come to the library and make a friendship bracelet to keep or give away.  Let's spread the friendship and get every Warrior wrapped.

*Warriors - there will be a free Alive@25 class Monday, October 2nd at 3:45pm - 8:15pm in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class, the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee.  If you are 15½ you can get a driver's permit after taking the class and a lot of insurance companies give a discount for taking the class. This is a 4½ hour class so bring a snack.  Sign up on-line at www.aliveat25.us and use the password  "arapahoe".  Any questions, please ask Deputy Englert.

Athletics

*The Boys Varsity Tennis Warriors are battling against Cherry Creek in the Quarter Finals of the State Duals Team Competition!  The match starts at 4:00pm today at Creek.  See everyone at the courts!

*Congrats to the Varsity, JV, and freshman Girls Volleyball teams for their wins over Smoky Hill last night.  A special shout out to the freshman team who is on a 3 game win streak also beating Grandview and Mullen!

*Congrats to the Varsity Softball Team for their 6-5, extra inning walk-off win last night vs Cherry Creek. Softball wants to thank both Soccer and Football for coming out this week and cheering on the team. Come and cheer on the Varsity team TOMORROW at home at 10:40am vs Mullen as we celebrate our Senior players!

*Good luck to our LPS/Heritage Gymnastics Team this weekend as they head to the Lakewood Invitational on Saturday! Come support the girls at Lakewood High School. 

*Come support our Girls Field Hockey teams as they take on Colorado Academy TODAY at the Slater Turf Field. Varsity is at 7:00pm after JV at 5:30pm.  C team plays at 4:00pm.

*Come cheer on our Varsity Football Warriors as they play Smoky Hill at 7:00pm TONIGHT at the Stutler Bowl.  Tickets can be purchased through GoFan.

*Hey Warriors, are you interested in free freshly grilled hotdogs?  Come to the annual FBLA Bar-b-que in the bus loop TODAY after school. Come eat, play games, and learn more about FBLA.  You will learn how to join, what FBLA is, and of course have lots of fun while lettering!

*The Boys Varsity Tennis team moves on to the Quarterfinals of the State Duals Team Competition with a huge 5-2 victory last night over Ponderosa.  Good luck in the next round, Tennis Warriors!

*Come support the gymnastics team today for another restaurant fundraiser at Pizza Hut on Broadway in Englewood. Mention HERITAGE GYMNASTICS or use code P3 when ordering online. The team will receive a portion of the proceeds. Also, come watch the gymnasts compete at their next meet tomorrow at Overland High School.

*Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Tennis Team for their Third Place finish at the Pueblo Invitational Tournament this weekend!  The boys are back in action on Wednesday for the first round of the State Duals Tournament. Good Luck Warriors!

*Congratulations to the Arapahoe Marching Band and Color Guard for an outstanding showing at the Friendship Cup marching band competition this past weekend at Eaton High School!!!  The band placed 8th overall in combined class finals while earning a 2nd place finish and the high music caption award in Class A prelims competition.  Their next competition will be in two weeks at the Douglas County Marching Invitational in Castle Rock on October 7 at 10:30 AM.  Congratulations!

*We want to wish the boys varsity tennis good luck as they compete in the Pueblo South Invitational today and tomorrow.

*Our cross country team heads out early this afternoon for the 3 p.m. Dave Sanders Invitational.

*Come cheer on your Field Hockey teams as they take on Cheyenne Mountain tonight here at the Turf Field. Varsity plays at 6:30 and JV at 7:30.

*The softball teams play at Eaglecrest High School, Varsity at 11am and JV at 1pm.

*Varsity football plays Rock Canyon at Echo Park Field this evening at 7.

*Saturday, the freshman and JV football teams play Rock Canyon here on the Turf Field at 9am and 11:30am.  

*Your Arapahoe Boys Golf team has qualified for the State Championships that will take place on October 2nd and 3rd.  The three golfers that will be playing for the Warriors are Mac Buckly, Hogan David, and Trae Lundberg.  Congratulations and best of luck at state!

*Warriors - Our Unified Kickball team plays at home on the baseball field TODAY and next Thursday at 4:15pm. Coach Dollaghan and the boys baseball team will be energizing us with music and offering food sales. Today we are playing former students who now attend LPS Transitions.

*The Boys Varsity Tennis Warriors continued their winning streak with another big 5-2 victory over Vista last night! The boys travel to Pueblo for a tournament this weekend!  Good Luck boys!
