 General Announcements

*Hey, National Honor Society members!  Our next chapter meeting is TODAY during both lunches and after school.  We will be meeting in the Forum.


*You’re INVITED to join us TONIGHT in the AHS Theatre for an evening of music featuring the combined LPS District Orchestra.  The concert will feature approximately 150 high school string, woodwind, brass, and percussion students from AHS, HHS, and LHS performing a variety of music. The event is free and open to the public.


*Warriors there will be a FREE ‘Alive @ 25’ class Thursday, December 14th at 3:45pm - 8:15pm in room W1874.  If you are voluntarily taking the class, the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee.  If you are 15 ½,  you can get drivers permit after taking the class and a lot insurance companies give you a discount.  This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line at www.aliveat25.us.  To register for the class the password is "arapahoe".  Any questions ask Deputy Englert



Athletics

*Congratulations to your Arapahoe TOMS as they rounded out their first week of competition with three 1st place wins in hip-hop for the Varsity team, and a 1st and 3rd in hip-hop for JV.  Keep your eyes on the Varsity TOMS as they prepare for State at the Denver Coliseum on December 9. GO TOMS!


*Warriors - join us on Thursday, November 16th from 6:00pm-9:30pm for our FIRST  Annual Boys Basketball Crosstown Throwdown.   We are joining up with Heritage for a night of fun skill competitions, a staff game, a unified game and a dunk contest with celebrity judges!  Bring your family and have some fun while supporting the Arapahoe Boys Basketball team!   Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.


*Come out and join the Girls Basketball program for their ‘Slam the Stigma’ Foundation Basketball games in honor of Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Awareness on Saturday, November 18th starting at 5:00pm (doors will open at 4:00pm).  Games including Arapahoe, Valor, Thunder Ridge and Rangeview will be played along with a Silent Auction and speakers from the Brought to Reality Foundation.  Entry is just a donation to BTR.
